o Hara doesn’t have near the arm of Barriere. Barriere can zip it 40 yards with a flick of the wrist. From what I have seen of O Hara, he has below average arm strength. His forte is running.

Borisch was very entertaining in that game. He has a very odd and deliberate throwing motion but many times his receivers were wide open due to his scrambling. He made it a game, sort of like their game at EWU in spring.

Agreed. It would be my natural tendency anyway as I am not a big fan of Hauck. Should be a good game to watch with a packed house and bitter rivalry.

I remember seeing him kick a 52 yard field goal at the Toom. Don’t remember who it was against. He was a natural, fluid kicker.

Montana State just got by Idaho in Bozeman. The main news coming out of that game is that Ifanse was in street clothes after halftime and there 2nd string back also was injured during the game. They are a different team without Ifanse and having him out could jeopardize their chances in the brawl of the wild (and also big sky title chances)

Poly won after Idaho State came back and scored a TD and 2 point conversion to tie the game with just over a minute to go. Idaho State holds on 3 downs and is set to get the ball back with 50 or so seconds left when the poly punter (a tight end??) kicks a woefully short punt that hits an Idaho State player running downfield in the helmet and Ploy recovers. Poly gets a few yards on 3 plays and kicks a 40 yard field goal that just ekes inside the left upright. You can’t make this stuff up.

The game was still winnable in the third quarter due to early good defense, early EWU miscues (pathetic kicking), and a kickoff return for a TD in third quarter. Only 1 offensive touchdown is not going to cut it against EWU or Sac. I am not blaming just the QB, but when things are not happening you have to change it up, and “boding well” is not going to cut it at the end of the season - you need to win or your out. The only thing that was a bit consistent was jet sweeps.

I do not have inside information about HR and Hawkins interviews seem to be cryptic on the status of HR even using the word “injured” at this weeks press conference - but tense was a bit weird. I don’t think that is the case as he has been cleared and is on the sidelines. So I think that is almost some sort of a cover but I have no idea. I do know that when TT came in (and somewhat similar to the Idaho game) he breathed some life into the offense when swapping out for MH. I am not saying TT should be the guy at QB, but rather I think it is indicative of the benefit of scrambling ability when maybe other things aren’t working. Barriere of course is a master of that plus he is an accurate and strong passer. If Hawk thinks Miles is the guy-fine with me but at end of year with playoffs, he needs to be on a very accelerated schedule or otherwise I think you need to be open to alternatives for the balance of this year.
