Evidently they need to score from outside the red zone.

Get up on the line of the scrimmage for Pete’s sake

Wildcat to Larison. Forget the stupid handoff.

Scott Marsh forgot to silence his Mike and said “this is a terrible game”.

    Ageed.

Good thing the defense has been good.
  • 2024 Week 2: Texas A&M Commerce (0-1) @ UC Davis (0-1)
    Terrible red zone offense.

Still nothing between the tackles in the run game. Need TDs not FGs.

    The LAN Larison show.
  • 2024 Week 2: Texas A&M Commerce (0-1) @ UC Davis (0-1)
Got to protect the ball and not try to make something out of nothing. Still no push on o-line.
  • 2024 Week 2: Texas A&M Commerce (0-1) @ UC Davis (0-1)
The downside of a fast-paced offense is if you don’t get multiple first downs and especially go 3 and out, the defense is right back out on the field with no breather. Run game seems to still be a bit static with not much push or gap openings created by the o-line.

I think Auburn has thrown 3 interceptions today and only have 7 points early in 4 th quarter against Cal.
  • 2024 Big Sky Scores
Idaho 17-10 over Wyoming. Wyoming QB is awful.

Mercer is in Macon Georgia. Don’t know that I’d travel to that on as the weather normally is awful then (heat and humidity). Personally Western Carolina would be a great matchup (and location), and maybe Elon or even NC Central or A&T. A&T draws a big crowd with a special game day experience.

. I think he has got to be running from scrimmage against FCS opponents more than he did against Cal.

Absolutely. “Shredville” in concept is fine and can be entertaining, but you have a Larison you give him a bunch of touches. Of course offensive strategy is conditional, as other options open up especially when the defense stacks the box to try to stop him. I still remember the quote from Hawk regarding the Idaho State game “quit overthinking and just give the ball to Lan”.

I saw Kennedy in the game, but did not see him make any tackles best I could tell. Not sure how many plays he was in.

Idaho fans ……. at risk ….. of acting like Montana fans.

It looked to me that the o-line has some gelling to do with the new faces. There didn’t seem to be many holes for the running backs. Pass protection good in the first half - helped by quick routes and throws, and a little rough in second half. I think playing FCS opponents will be a bit of a reprieve and a chance to develop and gain confidence.

yah, I wondered. A bit tough to see in TV.

I too wondered about not seeing Jordan Fisher. Also, I didn’t notice any wheel routes out of the backfield in which LL and historically UG have been very successful. Tight end play was underwhelming-at least as concerns passing game. Someone needs to emerge there and I think it’s got to be Gale. It may be a non-athletic issue, but coach the guy up and turn him loose. Regarding the blocking aspect of tight end - I didn’t pay attention and I am sure the coaches know who gets it done there.

It puzzles me that a D1 (yes even FCS) cannot recruit/get/train a kicker to get it into the end zone. Athletes today are so much stronger/bigger it should be ubiquitous. Heck - train a linebacker or tight end - anyone to boom it if your “kicker” can’t get it done.

Line drive punts are going to come back and bite you - don’t understand.
