Thank you cmt! You hit the nail on the head.

Movie, I think most of us are glad to get your very astute comments about Aggie sports. But, and it’s a big but, what is your issue with the European crime rate? It is so off topic and frankly bizarre. Most people know that the streets of European cities are far safer that Of American city streets and have much lower crime rates than the us, yet you pick and choose European crime stats with no attribution to try to make a point that is never stated by you. What the hell are you trying to get across to us the uninformed? No answer required. Just stick to the Aggies.

Do Taylor and Plough know each other? I would think Taylor is what you might call damaged goods at this point in his career. So why are we inviting him to come and give speeches? Just wondering. . . .

I got it. Made my donation.
  • Aggie Give Day - Donate to Football
Where is the link to donate to the football team specifically?

Very smart to get this out early.

I wish these guys would quit with the Facebook posting. Many of us don’t want to use facebook anymore and they could just use the uc davis app for free. Don’t get it.

Question: why does the winters Buckhorn grill support the sac state hornets and not the Aggies? . They are a long time YOLO county fixture and always at the Davis Farmers Market and doing great work there. And, why does it matter? It shows that fhe Aggie brand is not working even In our home in yolo county. Not a good look. Rocko might need to step in here.

Never underestimate the influence of parents. Or the family needs financially so I really don’t think Bennett actually left davis for being under appreciated. Maybe just a mommy’s push. Who can ignore that?
  • WBB: 2026-27 - Filling Out the Roster
Just curious who poached Bennett? Great player who will be missed

I get a 400 bad request and too big a header response. Lost on me. But I will still be giving. Is there another way?
  • Aggie Give Day - Donate to Football
Seems like a bad give request site
  • Needed Updates to the Football Uniforms / Field
On a little more serious note, how about converting the old turf field to natural grass? To actually give the players a safer place to play. Cost: $400,000 to $800,000+/-. Is it possible for the university to leverage its ag connections and its own skilled ag departments expertise into a much lower cost? Maybe even having the teams using the field to help with the labor like the soccer people did way back in the day. Imagine if a local turf grower could have its name on the stadium floor that said “This grass field is courtesy of "………..” grass turf company. I think we could rustle up $400,000 to do this pretty easily. Thoughts. Oh, and to satisfy the cow guys, let the cows and sheep graze the field. Save on mowing and fertilizer! Is that not a “Win win”?

Equestrian doesn’t travel with their horses. Home team provides them free of charge. Now the quality of the horses is subject to valid questions. No one would doubt that UC Davis horses would be top of the iine, but some of these other teams I simply don’t know. Who else has a world class vet school looking over their horses?
Nonetheless, I think the elimination of the sport was a wise move. Yes, a large travel team, zero or very little fan support and a ton of vet care and farrier work was not a good selling point. A very expensive sport indeed.
I think if the administration is to be faulted for anything it would be why this sport was fielded in the first place. I don’t think they actually thought about it that much, though the rumor was that Stanford or maybe Poly would field a team if Davis did, since they have all the facilities in place to do so and the wealthy rider parents to help fund the entire process. Didn’t happen.
Rocko, go to court and take your punches, bit l think you should prevail.

Wow. That is an amazing recovery even for a 22 or something young man. Probably indicates an incredible state of fitness prior to the injury and a very determined athlete who wants back in the game ASAP.

These people have money and they are used to getting their way. They will not go away easily. But, eventually they will. Sad for all involved. Even the horses!

Where is all this information coming from. Not that I care if it all good. Love those kids so much!

Bria Shine would have been a big help with Norris but she transferred to riverside for whatever reason. Hope she does well there

I never saw what exactly Rex’s injury was. I guess medical details of a players injury are sometimes now considered to be confidential which is fine with me. But if it was a ACL injury we would be lucky to see him play next season if at all. Forget when he was hurt. ACL rehabilitation one year +/-?
  • Conner brothers eligibility lawsuit
Yes I did (Now retired) and I guess yes they can hopefully. Thanks movie you seem to be the other person on this thread who actually cares about this issue. We care about the kids, not so much about the program. Hey, they could get the decision in their favor and then go into the portal. A decision I would not like. Wouldn’t expect this from these great kids.
