• WBB 7 pm Wednesday: Cal Poly (13-8 & 7-2) @ the Aggies (18-4 & 8-1)
I think we will be fine. For some inexplicable reason most teams just do not try and FC press on the road. Why? Do not know. Maybe there is just no fan support to up the hype of the strategy. Also it came as a complete surprise at CP in the last quarter. Ags did not respond well. Not this time if it comes.

This an example of thread that has gone really bad. Now we are reduced to Comparing rankings between two of the best public’s in the nation. This is just rediculous. Dig enough and you will find a poll that supports any position you want!
  • Chima Moneke Suspended Indefinitely
Does Chima play on? Absolutely no reason now to announce before the SB game. Make SB prep for any situation that plays out. Does anyone know if he is practicing?
  • Chima Moneke Suspended Indefinitely
I totally agree; but i will say if there was a felony charge there would have been a booking and that would be public record. That there IS NOT is a great sign that this is not the situation at all. So, no further comment until we hear the facts.
  • New woman’s sport
The aggie had an article on the meeting. Good attendance. A lot of participation. No mention of any particular sport, except rowing and that was from an alumna rower. Seems that it is a sport that checks all the boxes for Blue.

Hate to be a bringer of possible bad news, but a quick reading of the UC Davis sports eligibility policy website says that if an infraction of the law occurs by a student athlete it will be referred to the Student Judicial Council for review and for any action to be taken. The student athletes rights will be protected in the process. Only in paragraph 6 does it seem to state that if the infraction involves a student athlete “charged” with a felony is immediate suspension required. I don’t purport to be an expert on the subject, but it does not look good for Chima by my quick reading of the rules. Then again the delay may just be the judicial council getting involved and there apparently is no police report which is good. I sincerely hope that I am completely wrong! Seems very out of character for this impresssive young man.

What was the cost of this project? Roughly
  • Practice field is going in...
And the Doerr family donated the money for this? Unbelievable good fortune for poly!

  • WBB 4 pm Saturday: Aggies (18-3 & 8-0) @ CSUN (12-10 & 5-3)
No one goes undefeated in this game. The Gals are great and will come back!

I assume its against team rules to use weed- anywhere. So the hotel connection is very odd indeed. The very ambiguous announcement may just be that our ICA staff just does not know how to handle this type of issue well, or that maybe vandalism was involved? Yes, this is all total speculation but such a poor announcement invites this response. I know AD Blue is all over this right now. I’m confident that this will be handled correctly. China has always presented himself as great guy. What a shock!
  • Richmond cop and former injured in line of duty
Yes, and an interesting backstory. If my memory serves(?) he was actually recruited by Biggs wife while they were both attending the same church in davis. “Why don’t you play football? She said.” As he was a star soccer player. So he did try out. He was a great player with outstanding speed. Single handily beat sac in 2001-3(?) at Hughes in the rain catching a ball from O’Sullivsn for the lone TD of the game. Hope he recovers 100%. Great guy. Someone must have a better memory of this than me,
  • WBB 7 pm Thursday: Aggies (17-3 & 7-0) @ Long Beach State (2-18 & 0-6)
I noticed also that a lot of the TOs came off of rebounds and short careless passes inside. We should just hold the ball and let the opposition players clear before throwing the ball around. More rebounds should not equal more TOS. But, all around a very good away game for the Ags.

Could Josiah start next season? What a great catch! Good job tucker.
  • 2018 Recruiting List
I know there just the tapes, but i agree with movie that we may have got ourselves a real jem in Gunner Faulk. I went back and looked at some of the sac bee stories on him and it is obvious tha he is not only a gifted athlete, but a kid with a lot of moxie and character. He is a kid who moved around a lot because of his military dad. That’s a tough way to grow up and yet he has succeeded both in the classroom and on the field. He comes to CB as a senior and is voted captain. That says he is much more than just being a good football player; he’s a leader. Very good job by Hawk to land this young man!
  • New woman’s sport
It is an interesting question that woman’s rowing and rugby would both bring in a lot of participants which is what we need for TIX. The problem with rugby is that there are no varsity opponents in the west. But as davis bear points out, this is not a problem for the cal rugby team as they just play “club teams” out in the west. The big plus with woman’s rugby is that it is a relatively cheap sport to play, it will by played on campus, it at least has the possibility of some revenue be it tickets or local philanthropic support and THE BIG ONE is that’s the Lady Ags are very good at this sport, in fact champions lately in their league. The big plus with rowing is that all the pieces are in place in terms of equipment etc. the big negative is that this a very expensive sport all played off campus. Travel with the boats and all the girls is very expensive. Absolutely no impact on the campus and no prospects for revenue. So i am reconsidering- maybe woman’s rugby is the way to go. PLUS, we would be the first in the west! Good luck AD Blue.
  • Doss to NFL or not?
Might also be very good for recruiting the undecideds. Just the chance to play with a real impact player could be very attractive. Very good news indeed!
  • MBB 7 pm Thursday: CSUN (5-14 & 2-3) @ the Aggies (12-7 & 3-2)
I have an idea! Let’s have a throwback game at Hickey! Just for the fun of it. When the students see how hard it is and was to get into a game there back in the day, they might appreciate the games more. Just joking off course. (And yes, with the old unis as well!)
