Just looking at the box score and seeing what looks like 6 field goals in the first half then two TDs in the second, I have to think that the offense was having problems punching it in in the red zone, but made adjustments. Anyone know what they did?

I won't be watching the game this Saturday, but I just wanted to shout out to all of those who post on this site. It's quite incredible how much knowledge and insight are apparent from all of you true blue Aggie fans who check out every angle about the opposing school and not just the football team. At the same time, I hardly ever see any juvenile rants, insults or screeds. I think it's a tribute to what a UC Davis graduate brings.

Ags need a decent drive to run the clock down, but the 4th quarter has been all T-birds. If/when they get the ball back, SUU might have problems scoring if they stick to the run.

On the other hand, Southern Utah has 182 rushing yards.

SUU has only 52 net passing yards. Has Tompkins suited up?

I wish that were always the case bot both the offense and defense looks really solid this half. Can't take credit for that.

LeFan said it well: ESPN and Fox determine what schools get on television and the size of the local population is not as important to the as the size of each school's fan base. UC Davis can't match the fan bases of most Mountain West schools. let alone the former Pac-12.

The Honolulu newspaper wrote today that Cal and Stanford will not be able to get out of the ACC. They listed the four MWC teams most likely to move: UNLV, Air Force, Wyoming and New Mexico, in order of liklihood. Hawaii is not a good candidate partly because they are a "step down" from the MWC in all sports except football, i.e., in the Big West. Does not bode well for UC Davis to be in the Pac 8.

I think it is more likely that other Mountain West schools (Nevada, UNLV or Hawaii) would join the P-8/10/12 than any FCS school. It would seem that the loss of a significant number of Mountain West programs leaving would open the door for schools like Sac State or UCD to join the MWC.

Peace might have been the back up QB for the Lions, but he was dangerous. He got out of more than one or two sacks and made good plays. Hope we get both Conners and Tompkins back next week.
