I noticed that the Panthers non-starters have scored all but 11 of their points. As for the Aggies, all but 6 of their points are from the starters. T Y Johnson is having a really good game. He's shooting 100% (6 of 6), but it seems like Pepper is not looking for his shot. He's only 1 of 2 from 3.

Their announcer has said that Milwaukee has done a good job of forcing turnovers, but I saw at least 4 that were the result of sloppy or careless passing. I also thought the Aggies were forcing too many shots on drives as opposed to settling for a mid-range jumper. The one stat that strikes me is the 27.3% shooting from the 3 point arc.

Officials calling this close, lots of fouls and traveling calls.

I see that ESPN's analytics give UC Davis only a 28.7% chance of beating the Panthers.

Oddly enough the series has been a bunch of runs where one school dominates the other. UCD won 6 of the first 8 games, then in 1951, Sac State went on a 31-5 tear until 1965, just before Bob Hamilton became the head coach. Then the Aggies more or less dominated winning 26 of 42 until 1987. From then until 2015, it was again the Hornets turn going 16-9. Since 2015, it's been pretty even, but that long 31-5 stretch explains why CSU Sacramento still has an edge. (Source, UCD Men's Basketball Record Book)

Yikes, I need to stop relying on ESPN for everything. On their site, it looks like the Ags are home against SEMS and Boston. I just checked the UCD website and they even have the latter two games "at" UCD. I suppose that's because the Cream City Classic designates us as the home team. How did you find this out? When I googled "Cream City Classic" I got a baseball tournament in April and a swimming race.

Of all the games I had to miss, it had to be this one. Couldn't even get the audio feed to work, but at least the Ags won in dramatic fashion. Pay back time!

Seriously, any committee will have ethical rules preventing a member from speaking for let alone voting on a decision involving their school. In fact, looking at the committee representation (one fro each FCS eligible conference) I would think they would be unlikely to speak or vote on any school in their conference. Still, I can't help but wonder what subtle influences his presence has on the decision of the others even if they might, should or do disavow any bias. I didn't see any other members who were from schools on the bubble. On the other hand, one should not cast aspersions on people charged with making such controversial decisions.
