Oddly, I don't remember this game being called the Causeway Classic when I was a student. Maybe it's just my memory. How long has that term been applied to the rivalry?

What I like about this team is its depth. Les seems to have an eight man rotation, at least that's how many saw double digit minutes against Nevada. This was a big problem last year as the team wore down at the end of the season. I especially like that we have two solid point guards.

After yesterday, that was my feeble attempt at humor.

Nils Cooper had 26 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals, a great all around game. Note that the Ags are undefeated when he plays. The only negatives from this game was the way Sevilla was shut down and the 20 turnovers.

The color guy is Nick Fazekas, who I used to watch play when Nevada and Hawaii were both in the WAC. He set the Nevada scoring record and was 3 time league player of the year.

Seems like Sevilla does not have his head in this game. He'e made some careless passes that lead to turnovers and he isn't working on getting open for his shot.

Nis Cooper is carrying the team with 17 points while no one else has mor ethan 7 and Sevilla is 0/3. Hope we can get others more involved in the offense in the second half, but the Aggie D is fantastic.

I guess that next year, we'll have to rely on the Mountain West Network to watch most Aggie games.

Nevada knows how well Sevilla can shoot. Their #2, Comer, is on him like white on snow.

The Aggies are one of five Big west teams who are undefeated or have only one loss. The league is shaping as expected with UCSD and UCSB both at 4-0. Hawaii is looking very strong this year as well with their only loss being a narrow one to Oregon in Eugene. I don't want to call UC Davis a "dark horse" (with apologies to Gunrock), but preseason polls have us finishing 6th.
