First of all, welcome to our forum and thanks for taking the time for giving us your thoughts about the game.

It looks like there will a lot of Bobcat fans making the trip to Davis and, in all likelihood, they will be louder than us. We don't have the kind of fan support that the Montanas and the Dakotas have especially with our students but there's a lot of excitement about the our team currently so, hopefully, that will put more fans in the stands. Plough is really trying to build the fan base here and make our house a difficult place for visiting teams to win.

Cat fans will find a very welcoming environment here. There won't be the huge amount of tailgating that you are used to in Bozeman but Aggie fans would love for Cat fans to stop by and say hello. Hopefully, we'll have a good, exciting, injury free football game on a beautiful fall evening this coming Saturday.

The Aggies increased their lead in votes over South Dakota in both polls this week and we would be one of the top 4 seeds going into the playoffs if this was the final poll before the playoff selection. There's so much on the line for the Aggies in our next two games. The door is open for this team to make a huge statement in the FCS and in Aggie football history.

Montana State has played consistently well throughout the season wheras Davis has only played to that same level for the last few games. Davis had a pattern of giving up scores late to make games they had control of early narrow wins. Idaho game is an example of that. — Riveraggie

That's a valid point. We need to remember also that we had a bunch of key defensive players who got injured and early in the season and were out for quite a while. There were so many players at certain positions that the Aggies had to adapt by moving players around into new positions and by modifying our defensive schemes for damage control. I remember Plough saying that this was the "year of the broken hand." Some of those players are have healed up enough to be back in action now and I think we saw just how good our defense can be in the win over Montana when they are more healthy.

Massive sections of tickets have been sold in funky parts of the stadium, I can only think that this means the Bobcat fans are coming, and coming in a big way. — AggieFinn

I just browsed the Montana State forum and you're right, there are a lot of Bobcat fans coming to the game. They even have a charter flight that's already sold out.

Most of their fans seem to think the Aggies are a good team but not up to the level of Cats. Most are predicting a Montana State win by 10-24 points. A few think it will be a tough battle. They think Larison is a great RB but the big difference is they have 3 great RB's. They also think their D line will dominate our O line and that will force Hastings into risky throws.

This rule needs to be examined since Montana found a way to exploit it and I'm sure other teams are doing the same. The Aggies had to call their last TO because the ref was holding up play while the play clock was expiring because the Montana defensive player was moving like a snail to the sideline. I think teams should be able to make a defensive substitution after the offense substitutes but the offense should not have to call a TO because the ref is holding up play while a defensive player is deliberately, walking very slowly to the sideline.

The Aggies won the penalty kicks shootout 5-4 after regulation play ended in a 1-1 tie followed by 2 scoreless OT periods.
