He's a good interview. Represents the University and football program well.

Very possible he was fresh out of the car off the practice field!

Yes! I imagine recruiting in Biggs' time was very different. Way less information on athletes, way less resources. Definitely had to get creative. Finding guys at the D2 (and transitional/early FCS) level must have presented its own set of challenges.

I miss biking by practice at Toomey.....those were the days! Those warm Davis mornings.........

Interesting ranking for Illinois State @ #6

Great work on the interviews with Winston and Rex. This is great content for fans/alums and even recruits who are looking at Davis.

Just so many likeable dudes in this program.

Welp, sounds like we should play a game....

Another dude that looks like an absolute unit is RB Kai Acia. I'm not sure where he fits in on the depth chart, but he's made some appearances on the Insta.

Interesting that Plough is making such a big change with Fall camp.
I do understand its mostly an attempt to limit injuries.

He says "doing the same thing is going to get the same results." 11-3 last year was a pretty great result, but I do appreciate the innovation in getting "better and further."

I love how we have a d-line named Sackinsky.

We'll just have to see if Marion is a HC. Head Coaching ain't for everyone. Sometimes it doesn't work out. He's a great recruiter though.....Davis had high hopes for a first-time HC not too long ago (who coincidently was a great recruiter).

The situation is different I know - CFB is completely different - Marion has been able to bring in an entirely new team. Still, he has to get these guys to play together and know what they are doing on the field for an entire game. And, he has to make HC decisions. Time will tell.

Quote from one of the players was, "...and beat UC Davis for sure...I can't stand UC Davis..."BlueGoldAg

Rent free. Love to see it.

I would probably have Sac at 4. The roster size/speed improvement is too great to ignore.

Media may be underestimating the guys taking over for Lan and Miles. Coaches appear to have a different understanding. NAU is a sleeper.
  • Sac State's bid for the Pac 12 Thread
    This is an interesting one.....
This is his third commitment in 11 months. Boise --> Montana State --> Sac St............I'm guessing he's not done moving around.

I hope Darius sticks around for a long time. We really need guys like him around!

    Great episode, good work guys.

He sounds like he comes from a school-first type of family, and that he probably could have played football at a higher level if he wanted. I'm sure he's looking forward to playing at a higher level at Davis.

I'm looking forward to seeing him out there.

"Go-Go TV" appears to be Marion's personal brand, not Sac State's. "Go-Go TV" goes with Marion where he goes next. "Go-Go-Sacramento TV" would say something different.

The guy is clearly building his brand (not Sac's) with a personalized logo and everything (like Prime). There's nothing wrong with that, and its really smart/effective, but hopefully Sac knows what they signed up for.

I'm not just bagging on Sac. If Hawkins or Plough were doing this, I'd be weary about their motive/commitment too.

silent students don't help either. There's nothing a visiting team loves more than a silent student section.

Aggie Pack needs to educate those first years and build the student culture just like the coaches are building the football culture. They will catch the bug the first moment they discover they are impacting the game. Thats when it gets fun!

......I seem to remember for a few years they were doing rallies and teaching/practicing "Aggie Fight" and gameday stuff (It appears that 9/10 Davis 1st years have never been to a college game).
    Are they still doing this?

Find me one person who doesn't like Shaq....

Best thing Sac has done in all this craziness is signing his kid and bringing him in.

I guess Chat GPT picked up on the fact we don't have officially listed #1's at QB/RB/WR.....kinda funny. 9-3 could happen though!
