A good win with lots of time for players who don't get much. I watched part of the game after we came home from the men's game. It won't go into the pantheon of great performances. But the starters got minutes along with the subs. That could really mean something at the tournament.

Next up: Hawai'i and senior day. It'll be tough to say goodbye.

I can't figure that one out BlueGoldAg. It was definitely a foul. Cooper was hammered and he definitely went down on his wrist. His reaction was immediate. I haven't watched the TV video so I don't know what they said about it.

The long periods without a basket really hurt us. I still feel it's fatigue. The Ags play hard. They don't have a lot of depth.

Whatever it was a tough loss but a good game to watch. Adams is a fine player. He has this calm demeanor out on court. And the Ags didn't have many turnovers - again. If we don't have the depth we can't rest players when they need it. That's up to the coaching staff to recruit.

Irvine pummeled CSUN on Thursday. I think the Anteaters had 61 at the half. This should be an opportunity for lots of playing time for non-starters.

I was happy to see Harris back on court at Bakersfield.

I'm deeply disappointed in the new scoreboard though. I found it impossible to read. The really important information a baseball scoreboard should present would be the score, balls-strikes-outs, and who's at bat. All of this information is provided - but it's small. Is a photo of the player more important? I'd argue NOPE. In addition you have to view the scoreboard through the netting which further makes the small text difficult to read. I hope this format is re-evaluated because as it stands the new scoreboard is LESS USEFUL than the old one. And that's a bad thing.

I'm not a fan of the announcers who are definitely homers - but not as bad as the sports bros at Bakersfield. Whew, those guys are the worst.

They're cocky but they walk the walk.

That was a very ugly loss. You don't win a lot of games making 26 turnovers that lead to 25 points. That just doesn't work.

I believe the officiating was atrocious - but it was the same both ways. We're lucky no one was hurt.

I've never seen these guys before and hope I never will again.

But the Ags have to stop making obvious passes. Teams have figured out the passing lanes. In a game where grabbing and lots of contact is almost encouraged this is especially true.

On a different note it was great to see Tara VanDerveer at the game. Her sister, Heidi, is the UCSD head coach.

I've been quite critical of Mani but I saw some play that really encouraged me. He blocked out well, he hit a good three and wasn't pushed around in the lane. But he still looks somewhat clumsy.

Puppy was the description I shared with my wife - who agreed. Mani has a long way to go. I don't know what his injury was so I'm not going to guess about his physical condition right now.

In the late 60s the Aggie Band was the UC Davis All Male Maverick Band, wore jeans, white shirts, and black floppy hats with all sorts of buttons on them. After the game they came down into the locker room for a march-about. LOUD! They played a lot, they had numbers with the song girls, and really made Hickey Gym rock. I remember that floor as being leg friendly without many dead spots. Not like the one at Stanford before Maples Pavilion but still good. Still used for practice.

The play-by-play folks were commenting on how cold thee Pyramid was and then wondered if anyone played on a court laid over ice. The answer, of course, is Yes if you played at the Honda Center for the Big West tournament. I wore heavy wool socks sitting courtside and still had really chilly feet after a day of basketball.

TY gives and he takes away as we saw in this game. He gives a whole lot more. I think I’d keep him. <grin>

Harris went out in the 2nd half with an ankle injury, She iced it and then was in a boot. She didn’t return. Brianna didn’t play nor take place in warmups (between halves for sure) with a knee wrapped.

Epps’ scoring just sort of happened. She had some fine drives and nice 3’s.

We were lucky LB couldn’t shoot worth diddly. They were below 25% for much of the game. A couple of 3’s at the end of the game may have helped with the final percentage.

I just went around the interior of the ball park. The field looks great. After heavy use during the summer the grass seems to have recovered. The lights are all up. One panel of the new scoreboard has been installed. Progress!

The lights for the soccer field are also up! Great times.

Sevilla played a terrific game. I think he was out for a few minutes to give him gas for the last minute of the game. It was a shame that TY made the errant pass. It happens. It's not like TY didn't do a lot to help the Ags cause.

Did we have a TO left at that point?

Still lots to like for the Ags but toward the end of games they lose intensity - and for good reason: they expend a huge amount of energy. We just don't quite have the depth to sustain the effort for 40 minutes. Although, as I think about it, they could have uniform depth and it would still be difficult to sustain the energy they bring at the start of the game.

That was quite a response the Ags made in the 2nd half. And a double-double by Burns? That was impressive.

We were too tired to go last night. Returned from a week at Disney World - so many 20,000+ step days tracking kids/grandkids! I'm too old for this! And the crowds...

I'm wondering if Long Beach will have to a-poly-gize for the loss...

Okay, not really. Poly is a better team than their record shows. They have the monkey off their back and might well have a big role in how the conference plays out the rest of the season.

That must have been some game since it was also tied at the half.
