  • Big Sky Exodous and Conference Realignments???
One of the first interviews with the new commissioner addresses the size of the league and how some members are upset about the number of teams and the footprint. From what I hear from folks I’m the department, we’re ( including poly) seen as the outsiders by the rest of the long standing members. We have to consider options just in case; the WAC would be a step down especially if other sports had to go.

Soph Brandon McIlwan played in most of their games. He is a runner, occasional thrower but was a turnover machine. He was bad in their 3 game losing streak. The freshman moved ahead of him late in the season. Surprised at the lack of talent at that position
  • Big Sky Exodous and Conference Realignments???
I think there is some concern that the new commissioner thinks the conference is too big and, hence, that the futures of the two football-only schools isn’t set in stone. WAC would be a disaster. Not sure what other option exists (I still say the MWC doesn’t want more teams)

4-12, 10 yards and 3 INT. That’s a tough outing, and there’s another half to go

I would put in the giant Cheezit for the TCU QB. He’s bad

Tough defense; mediocre offense. QB is not great. Surprising that Dikes (mispelled on purpose) couldn’t recruit a good QB. Depended on a couple graduate transfers which seemed to keep good recruits from coming. They are losing their RB, and top receiver is transferring.

3 interceptions within 5 plays? Yikes. Either of our backup QBs could be starting for either team
  • MBB 12/22: Aggies (3-7) @ Arizona (8-4)
The guys on the PAC12 broadcast were confused and never heard of it. It’s so subjective. On that play I thought out guy didn’t really establish position (block) but their guy kind of initiated contact by throwing out his forearm (charge). Not obvious which, if either, was correct

that was crazy but apparently the right call. One ref had charge the other block, so double foul. Never saw that before

Great effort. Very poised throughout. Great to see contributions from so many guys. TJ is a hell of a player. This would have been a great victory for the program

51-51; tightening up the foul calls, which could really hurt us. They shoot freethrows much better than us,

Am I the last person in America still watching on Comcast? Dumb TV, regular old cable
  • MBB 12/22: Aggies (3-7) @ Arizona (8-4)
Coming out playing well; down 4. Nice to see others beside TJ scoring. Good ball movement, look confident on offense

Killing us inside; big athletic dudes. Got to get Nuefield to finish inside
  • Coach Les Expresses His Frustration with His Team
in his defense, we were 6-2 in BW league play with Moneke last season, and 6-2 without.
  • Keelan Doss to play in the East-West Shrine Game
they played in SF, then Palo Alto, then a few years back in SF (ATT) from 1925-2005! my family went often to Stanford. Went one year when Sochor was an assistant (1984).
  • FCS Playoffs Quarterfinals: UC Davis @ Eastern Washington v2.0
At the Montana game, Blue lifted Hawk up about 2 feet off the grounds in a celebratory hug. We really need to find a picture of that (he recreated it for Dan's wife).
  • Sears OUT at Sac State
Sears had 3 2-win seasons, and twonof those years included a D2 team. 6 wins with Sperbeck’s players the first year. They were hurt by injuries thus year but they were pretty bad.
  • Coach Les Expresses His Frustration with His Team
i was at the game on Saturday, sitting down above the Aggie bench, and I was kind of surprised that Les was as calm as he was in the first half. It looked like he was seething as WJU built up a lead, but I didn't see the foot-stomping or yelling that I remember from his first few seasons. I'm guessing the locker room 'discussion' was animated, but it should have been!
  • MBB 12/16: William Jessup (7-3) @ UCD (2-7)
The Chancellor is quite a sports fan. His full out sprint from the press box to the field after the ISU win was impressive!!

Coutside still has the row of cushy seats, but the foldout bleachers were tucked in to make the bud light lounge. Get a beer and watch a few minutes at the bar. Might help the concessions upstairs since there is now no alcohol up there.

The end opposite the band has no lower bleachers; they have a ‘bud light’ lounge area
