‘Girls’ are really good at home. Fun to watch

They really looked good in the second half. Silar, Gonzo, Mooney and Nuefield looked solid.

I took the blame last Saturday for Mexican dinner Saturday night so I was nervous when they served Fajitas in the Team Aggie. My wife gets credit this Saturday. She sent me to hospitality at halftime to get ponpoms for the 3 little kids sitting by us. She and the kids got into it in the second half. Win and pizza! Great night for 5 year olds!

Great article by Bob. We are in town today and seeing the blue ribbons along 5th (the procession route to Arbuckle?) was sombering. Such a tragedy.

Probably not a ton of students today with MLK holiday. BB alum day which is fun. Heading up now

looking forward to coming up Saturday and watching them break this streak. I feel like this team is 'this close' to contending for the top-half of the conference (not the top spot). I'm really disappointed that we haven't had much of a chance to see Gonzalez play -> i think he'd have been a big offensive contributor. Hope to get up in time to see the 2nd half of the women's game, get my Team Aggie hospitality with basketball alum, then watch us play a solid 40 minutes. Give them something to build on. Lots of season left.

What seems to kill this team is those 'short' stretches where we let the game get out of hand, and we just can't shoot well enough to completely close the gap. 5:00 to go in the 1st half. from there, we had three turnovers, a couple missed shots, a missed FT, and go into the break down 43-31 (thanks to a Shorts layup with 0:02 left). as well as UCSB was shooting (especially from 3) and rebounding, that was a BIG gap to overcome. Made a run in the first 4:00 to get to within 3, and had chances to get closer (they had a couple turnovers) but missed some shots. That's frustrating.

They are out rebounding up 18-9, hence the 16 more shots. Hard to win that way

oddsmakers have us as 1.5 point underdogs. that's a little surprising. maybe the outings last week have swayed their opinion? beat the spread easily both games.

I have a friend that always tells me to find a way to get more students to attend. Like Freg, I think my powers of persuasion at the campus is greatly overrated!

that 2010 conference/tournament was in the good old days when conference champs got a bye in the tournament. i really prefer that approach, since it puts some value on the conference performance. there is the consolation prize of a guaranteed NIT spot for the conference champ, but i would like to see them get a bye.

touché. I think my point was we’re content with a 3-championship disaster of a decade, but not so content with this season. Probably should have left that barking dog to itself

Just to follow up on my (beating a dead horse point) the PAC-12 is 4th in TV revenue of the big 5 conference (SEC makes over $50M, PAC12 about $38M). I’m guessing the bowl payouts are much lower also. So, how’s does less money divided by more teams help? Don’t think adding the Sac area will boast revenues

I’ll just repeat myself AGAIN : moving up requires a conference that wants us. PAC 12 won’t go to 14 (unless it meant Texas and Oklahoma), and I can’t see a reason MWC needs us and another. Only option would be if a MWC school drops

good point. this dog was barking at me this morning and I stopped and yelled ‘three championships in four years’ and the little b*stard just barked louder!

i thought 'scheduled' meant the original schedule. that's why '4 games' was the magic number for the new redshirt rule (1/4 of 11 or 12). i don't think teams in the post-season get to take advantage of the extra game(s) but who knows.

i fear that, with the backlash from the ASUCD Ethnic committee's statement, that it will be more than an event to honor her memory.

Agree on the jinx and on les’ coaching. Sequence before the end of first half was great example. Beach calls timeout with 10 seconds left, we come out in a zone and get a turnover. Timeout with about 2 seconds left, set up the TJ special for a clean look (miss). That would have been a big swing.
