  • MBB 7 pm Tuesday: Aggies (7-3) @ Nevada (9-2)
1-9 from the arc and ten turnovers. Not getting much from anyone beside Chima and Silar.

gotta love this misprint (i hope):

"“USD (San Diego), Stetson, Pungent Sound, New England University, and Willamette.”

    Pungent Sound? those guys stink!
  • WBB 4 pm Sunday: Central Florida (6-4) @ the Aggies (9-0)
offspring trivia. Original drummer , James Lilja, left the band in college to concentrate on school. Currently a renowned gynological oncologist. I’m very happy he made that decision!
  • Aggie WBB up to #8 in this weeks Mid-Major Poll
I have two of the Saturday doubleheader’s on our calendar. This year I plan to get there early enough for the entire women’s game
  • MBB 8 pm Friday: Aggies (7-2) @ San Francisco (5-3)
I followed the first half. Seemed like cold shooting had us in an early 7-9 point deficit and we couldn’t get any kind of roll to trim it. Got them in early foul troubles but had one of our worst outings there this season. Front end of one-and-one misses kill ya. This would have been a nice one to win. Reno will be really tough. Don’t want to get into a losing funk in late December
  • Keelan Doss named to AP FCS All-America Team
is this a Davis first for the FCS-era?
  • Writer critiques Cal Poly football
I thought the same thing. A little lofty on his opinions. Poly and sac have the same academic standards as CSU’s. Harder to get into poly for an applicant, but same pool for recruits since (I believe) they just have to qualify not get accepted on their own merits

as much as it pains an Antioch guy to say this, Toe, but 'congratulations to the Pirates, and good luck in the State Final!'
  • 2018 Recruiting List
40 time is most relevant for football. Looking at the state championships last year, winning time in 100 was 10.13, ninth place finisher was 10.85. Long jump winner was 24, tenth place 21.9. So his numbers are up there with state qualifiers

I was never very impressed with Jason Sehorn. Until I found out he married Angie Harmon. Changed how I thought about him
  • MBB 2 pm Saturday: William Jessop (8-2) @ the Aggies (6-2)
Teams like us seem to have a game like this around this part of the season. Hawaii has Hilo tonight for example. Breather before finals, extend the bench, and get a W. Who knows, maybe Printup and Hennings get some more confidence from today and they contribute more moving forward. Box score says 1250 in attendance. I had planned to make the drive for the matinee but family stuff popped up. Hope to get up for the 30th. There are only a couple of the Saturday night games we can make. Weekday days are out of the question for us out here in Livermore
  • William Jessup
They have 10 offensive boards at the half. That’s gonna kill us down the road
  • William Jessup
Up 46-23 at half with Chima and Silar combining for about 10 of those. Printup with 9, Hennings with 8. Lots of fouls. Good easy game heading into finals.
  • WBB 1 pm Saturday: Aggies (8-0) @ St Mary's (5-2)
Very impressive win for the ladies
  • William Jessup
I was looking in the archives for that 2005-06 season. Shows the ‘if we were keeeping score they scored more’ result vs the Bills (kind of like under six soccer). We went 8-20. One of those 8? Stanford

I’m sure your daughter watches frozen.......’Let it go, Let it go!’
  • William Jessup
Struggled against Dominican too. Exhibitions I guess don’t officially count. Maybe the more recent outings vs the ‘Bills’ were during the season like tomorrow
  • FCS playoffs
Weber was probably too aggressive with play calling on their last drive. Left a lot of clock. Good game
  • Men’s RPI is 22 in the nation
current Big West RPI's look like:

    17 UC Davis (6-2) 0.649
    45 UCSB (7-2) 0.602
    112 Lg Beach St (3-7) 0.537
    152 UC Irvine (2-7) 0.511
    163 Hawaii (4-2) 0.504
    180 Cal Poly (3-4) 0.487
    189 CS Fullerton (3-3) 0.482
    301 UC Riverside (1-6) 0.401
    350 Cal St Nrdge (0-7) 0.291

i think we'll know alot more about the conference at the end of the month. we have some tough games coming up, so I don't expect us in the top 20. i think the current 'top 5' will be the top 5 at the end of the year. bottom 3 teams look pretty weak. poly is okay, but always a pain for us.
  • MBB 7:30 pm Wed: Pacific (4-3) @ the Aggies (5-2) 2nd game of a DH
i didn't get a chance to watch, so its hard to get a feel for what's going on just by following the stats. were they much taller than us? much more aggressive on the glass? or, did we do a horrible job of boxing out and getting the loose ball? 20 offensive boards sounds like a NCAA record. to somehow still win says alot about our grit (and maybe more about their shooting!).

we get a breather on Saturday (i'm going to try to make it up for the matinee) before a challanging road stretch. USF (4-3), Reno (8-1) and Lamar (7-1, loss to Bakersfield) will be a good test.
