during the Zoom, Plough said (I think) we could take something like 70 players. We’re going out there Thursday to acclimate as best they can.

another good point - I expect the norm going forward is that teams will have a small number of returners

if heard correct, they lost 9 starters from their top-rated defense through graduation or transfer. Sounds like a very aggressive defense that we might be able to exploit with the long ball. Agree with you that our defense will be the key - sounds like they tend to be conservative and wear you down. Need a couple early big plays to throw them out of their comfort zone.

Email said the tickets are $40. Unless my TeamAggie gets me access, I'll skip -> i'm WAY past the days of being able to drink $40 in beer, except possibly at a Giants game (2 beers?).

I forgot about the 9th conference game.

Not sure a lot of big sky teams are going to make much effort to get sac on their schedule unless there is a payout (they are going to the 100+ Scholarship model, while the big sky is limited).

I thought we could have 12 games starting in 2026? That is, 4 out of conference games.

they had a 3-hour scrimmage on Friday and I’m sure that shed light on the decision. Anyone here brave the heat to watch?

Thanks for the clarifications. I still have ESPN on my XINIFTY cable, so I should be set.

I was up there yesterday with AgAlum. Both lines are big and deep. The QB decision is going to be a tough one. Looks like Harper has been having a great camp. He's the safe choice....but... Pinnack has the higher ceiling that could lead to greater results.

I always walk away from practices with so much appreciation for the level of detail. We sat in on the team meeting where they dissected the weekend scrimmage. Very interesting level of coaching on tackling/blocking and playing 'winning football'. The practices are so well-planned out. Not a minute of wasted time out there, just two hours of teaching, hustling and hitting.

Sounds like a good idea -> i think youth soccer doesn't even start by then!
  • Seating Renovations
I thought there were actual seats in the student section (the area shown)? The seats in the upper level are pretty old - maybe they are going also?

Concession area is a big need.

I was talking to someone connected to the program and his impression is that we are much bigger on both lines. Not just weight-wise, but just big, athletic guys. I'm going tomorrow so I'll get a first-hand look.

Rocak is playing with the Swiss team in World Cup qualifiers. He had 6 pts, 5 rebounds and 4 block in their loss vs Slovakia.

Seems like a bad time to be making a big push. CSU budget issues worse than anticipated even with tuition and state aid increases.

most exciting 48 minutes of football I saw at Aggie Stadium. Great game from start to incredible finish.

There have been some success stories out there, many of them were guys (like Bibby) who point guards. Some have had success at one place, but failed in others -> like Reggie Theus. Obviously, institutional support is big....and with the portal, that name recognition seems like it can be useful especially in building up a program.

as to the Mike Bibby statement, obviously you’ve forgotten the college coaching careers of Patrick Ewing and Chris Mullin!

    Oh wait….I see your point
