Was the dropping of programs the primary reason we went DI? Who made the call to finally move up and how did that go when it had failed twice? Such a shame for HSU and DII football in general.

Don't forget that UC Riverside does a great job with recruiting African-Americans and supporting them once they are enrolled. One of my hs classmates loved her time at UCR. We give UCR some flack, but they serve the I.E. well. Also, here at Davis we have to improve before we can call out Poly. I'm not advocating for AA by any means. I feel like the current holistic system is ideal and a good compromise. Just saying that there is always room for improvement in any area, admissions included, at every university.

But if something like that happened in Davis, there would be calls to drop back to DII.

How are equestrian meets scored? I think it matches our university well. Beach Volleyball is no surprise. I wonder where they'll build the courts? I bet students will use it for tournaments too?

I loved Old Sac when I was a student (7-10 yrs ago) and prior to that when i lived in the Bay. I visited a few times a year, esp before RiverCats games (before they joined the evil Giants). What is Old Sac like now?

But, the sign probably has played mind games on more than a few players. It is the same reason that old Arlington Stadium in Texas (Rangers baseball home from 1971-1993) had a thermometer in the outfield, a psychological edge if you allow it to enter your mind.

I can tell you that other than the SF Giants (boo) and to a much lesser extent, the 49ers (also boo), the Enderle's aren't really super big into sports and his family more so than him.
