Aren't you forgetting Suani (329 #s)? Peacock (redshirted) and Morgan solid newcomers. We had a veteran line, so this next year it will be interesting how Nixon, George, Hunkin & Siembieda pan out. It would be nice to add size or speed from the outside from the JC.

The interesting question - beyond a QB - how did Sac turn it around so quickly? Did they prove that solid coaches can coach at any level?

He was at Colorado for 3 or 4 years, some as an intern & GA.

Dominant defense? No. But I thought reviewing the stats our offensive production had dropped way off, likely a combination of Doss graduating, injuries & tougher schedule. Tough for the D facing 3 and out, 6 and out, multiple times.

LBs should be deep this year.

Bellevue High School Football, 2016:

Edit: Coach Tucker's Twitter is fine. We competed against some tough competition. Being a D Coordinator in the Big Sky is a challenge.

NDSU 28-20, down to the wire. JMU intercepted at the goal line w under 10 seconds.

Third straight Bison national championship w a Freshman QB. They're on another level.

JMU has the ball, their QB looks to have a strong arm.

UOP had I believe up to NINE home games against DI competition (some obscure names) this year, plus two warm up games. I could be off a bit given I don't know the WCC or East Coast schools.

Stockton is undesirable, but men's basketball is their #1 sport. Huge problems 3 years ago, NCAA sanctions, drama. New coach Damon Stoudamire immediately turned the program around, and in year 3 he is 14-4.

Tough to compare us to Sac State, which has a bad high school gym (ok for DII).

Gotcha. 6 at home, 1-2 easy, leaving 4-5 potential legit games. Les didn't endear himself to Katz, so not surprised.

Another easy option is a double header with Sac State every year, giving each campus a rivalry game at home.

Basketball should be significantly easier to schedule compared to football. 347 DI teams.

The coaching world is small. When Les came to town, Coach Katz called to welcome him. Les didn't return the call.

A big part of scheduling is coaching relationships. Williams got Stanford here, Ham got Santa Clara.
A home and away with UOP, etc. is natural. Coach Stewart had Portland, Loyola (Md) and Dartmouth (H & A) at the Pavilion in 2008. We had Seattle here twice and Presbyterian (tiny private school). I'm told Coach Stewart had good relationships w other coaches.

Les by design scheduled one of the weakest OOC schedules in DI a few years ago. His OOC scheduling has improved. With the Golden 1 Center ending as a venue, that should mean the Hornets are here every other year. BTW, Sac throttled Idaho State last night, impressive defense.

The team seems to be jelling, could do well.

I don't buy all the excuses for a Big West team not being able to schedule home games. A few years back we ducked Sac State when we were down. Well known.
