And it was a home game.

Awesome! All league on both lines, but no official size given though one article said "massive". 6'2", 6'3", 290, 300?

The old Little Prague / Blondie's location? Can't recall if I ever made it to LP. Great news.

Doesn't Woodstocks also show the game?

I agree we have to reload, can't dwell on the past ... but losing 2 dominant players would be tough for most teams to adjust to. Or to put it another way, add one more dominant player on special teams, defense, or offense... and we're probably in the national championship game.

Question / clarification - new DE Zach Kennedy still with us? His twitter seems to say yes. I believe he was a solid DE recruit, but not listed on our roster. Gray shirt?

RB Jaalen Rening - who ran for over 300 yards in one HALF - still referred to here as a UC Davis commit.

I agree everyone faces these issues. Respectfully, Doss on a deep roster now, likely not drafted due to pectoral tear, and Moe had 9-10 sacks for us? I know its not so simple, not a single factor, but same coaches, and our sack game is minimal.

You're right, we'll lose 8 lineman (5 on Defense), Nas, Flowers, Preece & Maier.
  • Week 6: UC Davis @ North Dakota
I think its fair to say we may have been overrated, and we're still adjusting to life post-Doss and post-Moe. How many games did Doss make a great or needed catch on 3rd and long, how many catches between 2 or 3 defenders? And no show boating after awesome catches, just go back and do it again.

Hawk says they need to have fun, and we may get some guys back. I hope Tehran Thomas is OK, love that guy.
  • Week 6: UC Davis @ North Dakota
I'm trying to fight some low key sadness that the playoffs are now a long shot. Especially with a senior proven QB, an optimal time for a playoff run.

Is Coach Foster still local? Can we import him for the pre-game rah rah?

I've got a few simple additions.

#1, tell your WR - acting like a prima donna while we are getting our hats handed to us - its a really poor look. Lording over a defender on the ground, waiving around 2 fingers while we're being dominated. Sounds like he is more interested in himself, or young.

Use someone besides CC on trick plays. And use a more tricky trick play, not a common trick play.

2nd and 2, why don't we send someone deep? Or go deep after a TO like Sochor. Harrell ran track his first year here. If Brock Johnson or Rodriguez have a stronger arm than Maier, there's a trick play.
  • Montana Game
I thought we had enough depth to prevent that, esp given all the 1st half short drives.
  • Montana Game
Can you expound more? Was Plough's resume at NAU also aided by star players?

The 60 yards rushing is shockingly low, I believe we have seen wonderful skills displayed by both Gilliam and Thomas, easily 2 thousand yard rushers.

Last year I recall only one game where we seemed to have the wrong offensive game plan, abandoning our prolific passing offense in the first half in favor of a run heavy plan. By the time we switched gears, it was too late.

Plenty of cooks in the kitchen. Hawkins, Speckman (running backs), Keane (O Line), Paul Wulff (O line volunteer), Sam Young (offensive consultant).

We also put little pressure on Montana's QB with our 5 Senior D lineman. Our 6 sacks against Lehigh disguise the lack of success. Stud Brandon Jamison seems to have receded, he looked like a potential sack threat.
  • Bad press for the Band-Uh!
I saw some band member's in town and thanked them for bring there, told them they're loved, and told them of Band lore sleeping on gym floors, etc.

They were happy and said, "We just want to play music."
  • FCS Games of Note: Week 5
Missing the leadership of Doss, Parenteau, Moe?

Philosophical sayings can't replace a Bob Foster, Bob Slater, Parenteau. Are 60 yards rushing in a game a bottom 5 program low? Tehran Thomas is a warrior, hut he walked off the field like he was beat up and worn out. Maybe he is playing hurt.

No expert here, but where were the screen passes, QB roll out, or deep bombs?
  • Montana Game
An odd day. The horrendous lines for food on the student side pushed us to the west side. Band there, not in uni's, seasaw 0-0 battle, Montana takes over. Band was loud, solid, lively after the game, outside.

How can you not get jacked for Montana and Big Sky play? Unimaginable with Coach Foster. I guess no team captains stepped forward to correct things. Did they exploit our DBs or LBs?

60 yards rushing has to be a bottom 5 program low. Tehran Thomas is a warrior, but after the game looked really beat up. Is he playing hurt? Philosophical musings can't replace a Bob Foster, Bob Slater, Ryan Parenteau.

Getting to the top is one battle. Staying there is another. Maybe they've figured out our quirks and strategies.

    Davis Enterprise

"“They outplayed us, out-executed us, out-coached us and out-energied us,” said Aggie head coach Dan Hawkins, creating new words as he tried to describe what had just transpired. “Today was tough on a lot of counts, but that’s sports. Those guys are good and they came in here with a force of will, with a good plan and they made plays. You can’t deny what they did. You’ve got to tip your hat to them and admire what they did...."

"Added Sneed: “Seeing them on film, they played great against North Dakota State, but they fell apart in some areas today and we were able to take advantage of that.”
