  • Prediction time!
Of coarse Bear fans focus on Harrell, it will be interesting to see our WR depth. We may have some speedsters on board, and some gems Watching a Bear analysis, saw that Babb over shoulder TD grab. Doss took a ton of attention.

Lots of new WRs and RFreshmen we haven't seen.

Pac-12 Preview - great to see the CA highlighted.

I believe Bob Dunning got to a core issue today - can we establish the run? We only had 50 yards rushing versus Stanford.

The analysis above claimed Maier usually focuses on one hot receiver, doesn't look to option 2, 3, 4. Not sure completely valid, and Doss may have impacted that perception.

SJ State up on No Colorado 28-18, good to see them on top... but struggling with a 2-win team?

4 catches (#2 on the team), 2 bad throws?

    OUTSTANDING UC DAVIS Offense preview

Great review, clips (examples), and a few highly knowledgable commentors. SGBear - response in gold below the article - sounds like a former coach or QB.

SGBear notes how Maier doesn't react well to pressure, and is anticipating the Bears using a lot of disguised blitzes. How we use the jet (fly) sweep, etc.

Maybe the Bear fans hit the Joe Kapp tequila bottle a little early?

They seem rather thin skinned if they can post goofy Farmer pictures (threads), a Look Alike thread, and one reference to Kal sends them over the edge.

The Joe Starky interview w / Scott Marsh was interesting in that the only Aggie he referenced was the Maier of Davis. Doesn't sound like he's very worried either.
  • Prediction time!
I predict Maier will pass for over 3500 yards, we'll have 2 running backs each over 1,000 yards rushing, and we'll have at least 2 new wide receivers shine.

Records are a dicey thing. We can't live off last year. We have a lot of talent, but we lost some key veterans, esp on defense. Hoping for the best.
  • Looking Forward to 2019
Don't name names, don't even name positions ... but any true frosh or redshirt frosh studding out?

    Cause we got a bunch.

OK, where was East Hall located? Did you like it?

I prefer the oldercwood-shingled, CA inspired architecture. Cement buildings - blah!

    They also play Ole Miss.

    Gabe Manzanares.
  • Aggies vs Bears
Will we wear our slick whites? The Bears will dress in blue.
  • Aggies vs Bears
A much tougher game than San Jose, but not quite as tough as Stanford, though I almost felt they were holding back out of respect for Gould, etc. If I recall, their QB was misfiring, and Love held out. Only 50 Aggie rushing yds.

Will the next Mason Moe / Ryan Parenteau emerge? How much was it Moe, and how much the system / preparation / execution? Our Sack game was legit last year.

FYI, in one breath HC Wilcox says he diesn't want to reveal who his backup QB is; in another, he us raving about frosh Spencer Bausch. Can wing it, but sounds like he can also be rattled.
  • Aggies vs Bears
We had a couple of opportunities. Didn't we throw a pick and miss a FG?
  • Aggies vs Bears
They seem strong at LB and DB. Wait until all those senior DBs graduate next year.

Do teams typically sub a lot on the lines? We seem deep right now, whereas the Bears look young.

Their DC yesterday compared their offense to ours. (4,000 yds passing to 2,000?)

A friend decades ago told me when a Berkeley grad says they went to "Cal", he asks:

    Cal-Santa Cruz or Cal-Riverside?

    No 'hate', just a poke.

Rush ends? Like a DE / masquerading as a LB?

Bears release depth chart. OLine young, TE young, big at OLB.

They lose RJunior Gentle Williams to injury. "Redshirt freshman Matt Cindric becomes the starting left guard. ..."

"Williams injury leaves the offensive line with just four letter-winners. ... But the backups are now woefully inexperienced and the Bears can ill afford another major injury to that unit."

    Redshirt frosh long snapper.

If they're so deep at WR, why not trade 1 player?

If he goes on a taxi / practice squad, can other teams grab him?
