  • No men's basketball end of season "banquet"?
Elway went hardcore for the Stanford job. Big West a better academic and institutional match.

I believe Jim Les' first couple years here he had no banquet. The pattern seems an off year, no banquet.

So Goode, TJ Shorts, AJ John, Schneider and Russell don't get acknowledgement because Coach Les is pouting?

My appetite isn't what it was, and I don't think I even knew what Tums was back then.

Big pressure, big risk, can she take her husband? In and gone in 2 years not uncommon. Why Foster stayed.

    Long gone ...

So no banquet, or a late banquet?
  • The Fate of the Grad
I thought they were bringing the Pub back to the MU area ... $35 Million spent, another lost opportunity.

There was an old dive bar in downtown near the train station, on the same street as Woodstocks Pizza ... don't think I ever made it in there ... The Saloon?

Dollar a pitcher night tough to beat.

My understanding is that all leases are expiring with the new large apartment development planned. I've heard rumors the monthly lease was over $25,000 a month. Tough business, changing student demographic. I went after a big basketball game, a home loss, and the place was empty. Same owner had at least one more establishment downtown. Is it Home?

Oh no, the memories! Tough business.

Are you joking? He had 3 receptions for 77 yards and 1 TD against us last year. (Unless he left early w an injury.) Their league not exactly Big Sky.
  • Athlon Preseason Top 25
    Hopefully.

13 WRs, 7 TEs, and 7 QBs on the roster right now.
  • Athlon Preseason Top 25
No names here, but I briefly chatted with 2 redshirts last year at Stanford ... and they were chomping at the bit to play.

River, don't forget, we lose some studs on D ... #1 tackler and sack threat (10.5) Moe ... tough corners Olave (#3 in tackles) and White (#10) ... plus Baumgart (#4), Parentau (#9) and Cloud. Two stud DLine, 2 LBs, and 2 DBs. Six solid players.

On offense, we lost one of our top 2 players.

We seem deep, time will tell.

Took a brief look at Kal's team, and our matchup. Here is my quick take, tell me if I am wrong.

They were 7-6, and they claim they were a few points from going 10-3. With 4 close wins, one could also argue they easily could have been 4-9.

The Bears have an unproven Offense with an inexperienced QB who only threw for 1500 yards. Only 5 WRs on scholly. They have a transfer QB who may push for PT. Not sure they'll have a big upgrade. No knowledge on their OL. Not a strength.

Their Defense is the opposite, top-20 production with supposedly lock down DBs. They ran a 3-4, and lost 2 starting DL, so there may be some growing pains there.

Our O vs their D, strength against strength.

Have we the depth on D to replace the 5 or 6 key defensive players we lost?

Way better chance than the Stanford game. Ripe for an upset. The West Coast TV exposure should be great!

Will the Aggie Band-uh be there??!!??

Why not celebrate in enemy territory?

Perfect place for a Will Lotter remembrance. Bear Aggie game.
  • Bad press for the Band-Uh!
So nudity caused hurt feelings? I recall seeing streakers in the Coffee House and at Toomey ... should they both be suspended? Maybe create a social justice band unit?

Students did crazy things in the dorm, you didn't like it, a) don't join those activities, b) don't comingle with those people, and / or c) move out of the dorm.

BTW, the LA Times picked up the story.
  • Bad press for the Band-Uh!
Gotcha. A few years back there was a large MU sit in over a sombrero hat and escape the border party? The organizer was an unemployed graduate who studied ... social justice.
  • Bad press for the Band-Uh!
"chief witness being paid student activist with a stated career goal of becoming a professional social justice activist"

Who pays the individual? Is this the student that said a year after an alleged incident, she had a breakdown?
