    My guess.

    1. Millenial / smartphone generation.
    2. Changing demographics.., soccer, protests, and women's issues increase in relevance.
    3. Increased international students, different cultures.
    4. Northridge not a "name".
    5. Midterms?
    6. It seems like more kids drive today, some live outside Davis or travel home on weekends.
    7. The Aggie no longer timely on PR.
    8. We haven't filled our Marketing position yet.
    9. AggiePack?

I'd guess we still will get solud crowds for TV games.
  • Doss to NFL or not?
We could put up 50 points a game next season... we may need it.

    Opp, yes.

    Awesome that Gunner committed!!
  • UC Davis Dream Team Debate
I would feel extremely confident at choosing players for the 1, 2, and 3 positions from the DII era to compete with our DI alums. They competed, very well, against DI comp with no 3-point line and had NBA tryouts.

Big men and depth are where the separation probably happens. I never saw Budde, Olson or Lein. We had a few players leave who would have stayed if we were DI, real studs who concentrated on academics.

    Toke69, how good was Audwin?

Haven't been to Fresno in a while. Was stranded in Bako accidentally. Oil, scruffiness, debate about high speed rail station location, and hookers. Or so I read and was told. No personal research. Buck Owens Crystal Palace a big deal to some.

I guess we have a use now for the defunct racquetball courts? Davis is a liberal town ... I was reminded here of the x-rated movies that were shown at the drive in!! (Never went.)

    Why not message Dr Blue?

BTW, I was in Bakersfield recently ... yuck. Though their lower cost of real estate seems to spur the foodie biz, and they have an actual Woolworths counter... a local paper said they also have 250 street walkers.

Hawkins already lauded Mr. Perryman, and Cam Trimble was supposed to be a BEAST... Fabian Hunkin (?) Is also a big man. Frosh LB Airey (20 tackles) and Duncan (30 tackles) had an impact... on offense we should see Harrell back at WR (6'2") and Carson Crawford.

    Edited.

No Bob Foster here, but I hope / think ST and a better pass rush would help. And tackling.
  • Coffee Donation
I didn't know we had a coffee center. Since when?

Scrap the roastery... San Francisco claims they contribute to Global Warming.
  • Fuel Stations
    Ride a bike! Problem solved.

We seem to have a solid group of Sophomores, a huge bunch. But #110 or #115 in defense is way down. I'm hoping improved special teams play helps, and maturity. But we have a long way to go.
  • 2018 Recruiting List
I understand the Big Sky is tough, but we're something like #115 in defense in the FCS. I don't think moving up to #100 will cut it. Is it the players, coaches, scheme? Tucker had big success at the JC level, but we rarely stopped anybody last year. And now the competition increases.

We need to do something. Unless we want to conclude it was just a youth issue. I'm not saying large, but how about a pass rusher or solid DT?

  • 2018 Recruiting List
Seven key additions last year, 10 total? Flowers and Maier transferred after 1 year. About 100 tackles between the top 3.

    Cloud - DT
    Moe - LB
    Flowers - LB
    Martin - OL
    O'Rourke - K
    Modise - RB
    Maier - QB

    Long - LS
    Calloway - WR
    Prenvost - DL

I don't recall many true freshmen being impact players on the line.

With the 5-6 Juco players we signed last year, who were key players, I'm hoping we add 1-2.

He would help long term, but we need big help RIGHT NOW. So might the 6'5" young man from Sac, Pesefea Jr.
  • UC Davis Dream Team Debate
Neumayer, Rose, others too would have loved the 3. I never saw Baranco or Thomas.
