Either way is fine. Thomson is not a worrisome threat if you eliminate his (and the Hornet) running game. There was a series in the 3rd quarter where he air-mailed 3 pass attempts in a row and he was very inaccurate at times. Again, the tackling killed us in that regard as between him and the RB there were numerous instances where we had them at or behind the LOS only to see them wiggle free for positive yardage.

The 530 total yards for the Hornets is a deceptive stat - I’d be curious how many of those came after missed tackles. It seemed like a recurring theme all year, we just couldn’t tackle, period. Shoulders AND wrap with the arms, it was maddening.

Yippee....

I’m going with Grant just because of the biggest win in program history at Stanford and the story of the game-winning drive and TD pass to Blaise Smith, but JTO would be there too for similar reasons as Finn.

Like I said to a group text last night, we need to realize there is zero margin for error and glamour points (I.e. WINNING MARGIN) matters. If we happen to win out we're playing Thanksgiving weekend no doubt. In that event, glamour points will determine our opponent and also who would be waiting the week following for the victorious team.

It continues- per Twitter, Folsom High WR C.J. Hutton has committed to UC Davis and will also play baseball.

Licking my chops at the thought of that Causeway Classic if everything holds serve between now and then (BIG knock on wood for our side of the equation).

I’m just going to confirm it now - with the remaining schedule, an 8-4 Aggie team is playing after Thanksgiving.

That being said...one win at a time.

Let’s also put efforts into ensuring that streaming feeds aren’t steaming piles of manure for those of us who can only make it to a game or two per season. :up:
