  • 2025 WEEK 9: Aggies @ Bears in Greeley, CO 12:00 PM PT
    A win is a win.

Hopefully over the next few weeks, we stay health and get back a few players that went down in the first part of the season. Especially in the secondary. Also, I believe we can play Freshman AND preserve their eligibility if they play 3 regular season games or less. I do not believe playoff games count.
  • Big Sky Games: 2025 WEEK 8
Not a big Montana fan (although I do have a tremendous amount of respect for their program) but I do not know of any other program that at the administrative level as foolish as Sac state. They are a great case study on how not to behave.

Pulling 100% for Montana to not only win, but to run up the score on behalf of all of the other JV football teams.
  • Battle for the Golden Horseshoe: UC Davis @ Cal Poly
Curious, did any Davis players get injured in the game?
  • 2025 Big Sky Football Games Week 6
    Montana 42, Idaho State 38

    Time left - 2 minutes left Idaho driving . . .
  • Battle for the Golden Horseshoe: UC Davis @ Cal Poly
Poly "game notes" do not list either Conner brothers in the 2-deep.

If Ty Richardson (CB) and Garretson (LB) are still out, we will see if the defensive depth can carry us until these players return later in the year. Fingers crossed that none of these guys experienced a season ending injury.
  • Weber State @ UC Davis

Home attendance for the first two games:

    2025 - 29,455
    2024 - 23,575
    2023 - 22,666
    2022 - 23,216
    2021 - 21,487.

So far, attendance numbers are looking pretty good.
  • Weber State @ UC Davis
We do have a lot of new faces on D and we seem to be playing more people. As long as we keep winning, developing depth, and staying healthy, i think we have the opportunity for a deeper playoff run.

But I do agree, it is difficult to see our D give up so many yards on the ground.
  • 2025 Big Sky Football Games Week 2
Central Washington (D II) beating Montana in first half.
  • Sac State's bid for the Pac 12 Thread
    Question for the group ...

For 2026, did Sacramento State cancel all Big Sky scheduled games? Been reading that we do not have a game scheduled vs. Sac in 2026 but couldn't we just keep them scheduled for the last game of the year? Any reason that we can only play them at the beginning of season (non-conference games)?
  • 2025 MBB Recruiting and Transfers
For this upcoming season, we have nine new players on our roster. That level of turnover seems crazy to me (glad football is different). I hope going forward we develop a culture in our MBB program that is more stable with players sticking around.
  • 2025 Football Recruiting
Based on 2025 roster, looks like we picked up additional transfers/PWO:

Teeg Slone - DB (American River)
    Isaac Mancera - K (UNLV)
AJ Hasson - OL (Washington State) and a Davis High kid
Dylan Mauro - P (SW Oklahoma State)
  • Sac State's bid for the Pac 12 Thread
I feel like I am driving by an auto accident on the other side of the freeway, I cannot look away from what Sac State Football is doing.

We are observing two dramatically different approaches to building a winning football program within the same market . . . I am not sure Sac has the right or wrong approach, but i think we can observe and replicate the good decisions they make while hopefully avoiding the bad.
  • 2024 Football Recruiting
Wonder how many players from this class that committed to FBS schools will transfer to Davis?
  • Looking forward to 2025
Mike Moroski played QB and pitched for UC Davis a long, long, long time ago.

In today's climate, I am not sure if it is even possible because of the time requirements for each sport, but if a player wants to try (and the coaching staffs are willing), do not let classes get in the way.
  • Looking forward to 2025
If anyone goes to the scrimmage today, would love a recap with respect to any player(s) that stand out.
  • Looking forward to 2025
Anyone go to any of the spring practices?
  • Top Games from 2000-today
2005 game vs. Stanford. 20-17. Although we only finished the season at 6-5, we were 0-2 going into that game.

2021 game vs. Tulsa. 19-17. Finished the season at 8-4, with a loss in the 1st round of the playoffs.

2018 game vs. San Jose State. 44-38. Finished the season at 10-3 with a loss in the 2nd round of the playoffs.

2024 game vs. #5 Idaho. 28-26. We were 3-1 going into that game but were without a quality win.
