No surprises, decisions is in “final stages” per UC Davis news release today. In contention still: rowing, beach volleyball, equestrian, fencing, rugby or any combination thereof. Final decision now to be “early April”.

Also, BW teams tried the collapsing zone on Morgan and it never worked. She fouled a lot of them out of the games.withn that strategy. Still, they will present a very stiff opposition, but never court our Ladies out! They have a true strong heart to get this done. I actually think they will pull this one out. Why: Morgen Bertch!!

So on to kansas state. Defensive Strategy: the Ags will come out in their custom man; but whaat does kansas st. do? Do you recall the Wyoming woman saying “post up, post up” their big she’s too good? They never did. But will kansas try it? I’m no basketball genius, but i have read that the lob is the best attack against the post up. I am betting that KS tries to post up Morgan. Has it been tried before against the Morgan? I would have loved to see practice today at hickey. Bet it was LOCKED!! Feeling KS will be very over confident for this game. The Lady Ags will respond in FORCE!!

I suppose that a $400,000+ Salary could be enticing against his present $279,000. But I understand his wife is a very successful real estate agent in Granite Bay. If so, she may well be earning more than Jim in this market. Nonetheless, she might be willing to give it up- real estate market in Ogden UT not so hot.

Wow. 10 days to go on a decision and not a word as to the status of things. No more meetings either. It’s possible they need more time to rally up some $$ support. It is also possible that the sport could be supported by the players/parents paying for the coaching and the university providing facilities something like the field hockey team. Thus, for rowing you wont necessarily need a lot of big time donors and the club members already pay a stiff fee to row; and facilities are there. Rugby the same. We will soon see.

The very bad bad tacky sign used by WY to intimidate the opposition: “Danger- 7229’ elevation” with devils head flashing and groaning. Did not work at all. I saw the Ute KS game. I was not that impressed with KS. They do not defend really well, but they do have some great shooters. I doubt that they have seen a lot of teams with the defensive pressure we can bring to bare. They do not have a Morgan either. They do have a lot of fans and are loud at home. I feel we can work that out and hopefully pull out a victory. It will be very hard but doable. Also, great coaching job by Jennifer today!

Or maybe the sac bee could write an article in support of a home game? Right, lots of luck on that! I have not seen a single bee article on the woman’s team; but i only get the E version. Bee’s negative and non-supportive view of UC Davis just does not make any sense to me. Better coverage in the Santa Rosa Press Democrat.

One of the best games the ladies have played this year! Altitude, hostile crowd no problem and Morgan just keeps getting better and better. Great game all around!!!

Like Oregon State, another team with a lot of foreign players. Which means that they hit the boards fearlessly which is not our strong suit; so Pele and Morgan really have to play tough or we could be in for a long day.

A little concerned about the 7k? But i guess because the game is not played that long, not an issue.
