“ im curious if anyone here knows the history of season tickets/ how ticket prices looked at toomey? missed that whole era”

I was a season ticket holder on the east side of the field starting around the mid 80s. I don’t remember the price, but it was very reasonable. There was no team aggie fee for the better seats. What i do remember, and miss, is that after each home game there was a reception at the faculty club for alumni. They served bbq hot dogs and had a no host bar. Sochor would join us and stand on a chair to address the crowd and analyze the game. To this day my son, now in his 40s, remembers the hot dogs, lol.
  • Ags vs Tritons on ESPN2

Yeah, as i recall his sister from Sweden was there for senior night. Niko is a really nice young man. He spent some time mentoring my grandson on college athletics and has told me several times he would be more than happy to chat with him anytime. He also came over and sat with Dr. Mike and i at the Cal game, visiting with us about UCD athletics and academics. Great roll model.

    5 questions for UC Davis

“ Who Is The Next QB?
Multi-year starting quarterback Miles Hastings is out of eligibility after six seasons at Davis.

In 48 career games, Hastings threw for 11,168 yards, 80 touchdowns, and 38 interceptions. He played his best ball in 2024, throwing for 4,493 yards, 38 touchdowns, and 13 picks.

The Aggies have four quarterbacks on their 2025 spring roster.

Grant Harper enters his sixth season after being QB2 last year. The 3-star high school recruit has attempted only 24 career passes at Davis.

The Aggies have three more 3-star recruit QBs who are earlier in their college careers: David Rasor (3rd year), Caden Pinnick (2nd year), and Damon Wrighster (2nd year).”

Really enjoyed Hunter and the turtle zen. Very articulate, well spoken person. Definitely a Davis guy :).
  • Top Games from 2000-today
Too bad the Reno games aren’t included. That game at the Toom was one of the most action filled games in Aggie history with a standing room only crowd.
  • VPN?

Great review, thats exactly what i was after. Thank you!

I saw a falcon 900 land at EDU (UC Davis airport) by accident. He was on his way to Yolo County airport. Its actually easy to make that mistake from the air. I got a tour of the cabin before he left. Nice plane. He took every inch of the runway getting out. But back on track. DWA, yolo airport, can handle any private jet and Davis air support has a first class catering and executive support. High rollers would land there.

I wonder what those luxury boxes go for at other schools such as the dakotas?
  • MBB: UC Riverside (6-10, 2-2) at UC Davis (9-7, 3-2) Thursday, Feb. 13 at 6:00 pm
I thought Niko’s big 3 with less than 1 to go was a back breaker for Riverside. Glad to see him bury that one.
  • Sac State's bid for the Pac 12 Thread
Forget about safe seating on the visitors side, lol.

  • 2025 Football Recruiting

Like Mike said, players don’t attend. But looking around the room, there appeared to be a lot of former players. Tim is so engaging, and i think he connects to the younger football alumni more so than some of our previous coaches. The model for this event has always been different than the basketball recruitment gathering. In the latter, its coaches and all the players, where each player gives a brief life overview. The shear size of the football team prevents a similar model. But in the spring, they have a social where many of the players, and all the coaches are present and mingle with the guests. I really enjoy meeting the players. How many football programs let commoners like me mingle with players and coaches and provide opportunity to have lunch with the head coach?
BTW, Tim did mention there will be a night time spring game on a Saturday, end of April. He’s hopeful that there will be a big turnout.
  • 2025 Football Recruiting

Rocko opened it up and talked about how lucky we were to have Tim and that he wants to be sure we have the resources that are needed to retain our coaching talent. Tim introduced all the coaches and briefly talked about their attributes. He went over many of the new recruits, most of which are from CA. As he has done in the past, he compared resources that the top FCS schools have to ours and the need for deeper levels of support. Paraphrasing here, but he said something like “give me comparable resources, make it a fair fight, and we will win.” The luncheons with the ball coach resumes 2/19 monthly. Always a fun informal event. I try to attend.

Last night at the signing party Coach commented about both lines. I think our lines are going to look better when the dust settles, possibly from anticipated walk ons? BTW, last night i asked him about clarifying the difference between PWO and walk ons. No difference, a walk on is a walk on.

“ Any leads or ideas send our way!”
We all have speculated in multiple threads, on how to bring more warm bodies into the bleachers. How about an episode on this topic? Interview Rocko, Flush, maybe a few students (ASUCD?), and certainly a spokesperson from the alumni assoc. who would be major stake holders in alumni support.
  • Low Interest in Men's Basketball?
I enjoy MBB and my wife and I are season ticket holders. But most of the time I’m not knowledgable enough on BB strategy to make meaningful posts. So i read but limit my posts.
  • MBB: UC Davis (9-7, 3-2) at UC Riverside (13-8, 6-3), Thursday, Jan. 30 at 7:00 pm

I think that’s what they’ve been doing with Sevilla, that is, setting him up to shoot the 3.

With the qb room seemingly already full, it surprises me we are still adding to the group unless they will be switch hitters like Trent.

I’m going to miss seeing the Larison and Hasting clans at the games!
