  • WBB Signs High Scoring 6'5 Center
She is really impressive in this video. She reminds me of a young Morgan Bertsch...great defense and inside/out shooting. We'll have some big girls inside with Stobbart and and our 6'5 recruit, Kenedy Lily, along with this Scottish belle who is very mobile and long...6'6 wingspan. Awesome!

Anyone get a chance to listen to the Les interview on the Grant Napier show?
  • A rough day@ASU
I watched the last few innings of the first ASU game. I thought we were going to win that one but it slipped away and, like you said, we got lit up in the second game. It would be nice if we could win today. That would make for a happy flight home.
  • WBB 2/23 2 pm) Hawai'i (11-14 & 7-5) @ UCD (18-6 & 10-1)
The official attendance for the Hawai'i game was 934 which is pretty good and the fans were very supportive and vocal. They have a solid backing of fans especially from the community.

No official word other than "day to day" and that's anyone's guess as to what that really means. We really missed him last night.

Siler Schneider has been forced into the PG position and that's not a natural role for him. He's more of a shooting guard. Damion Squire is seeing more time at the point also but he's young and doesn't put up points like TJ. We missed a lot of driving into the lane shots last night that TJ normally makes and Matt Neufeld was short on nearly all of his hook shots which he has been making lately.

Lamine Diane's athleticism really hurt hurt us. He's 6-7, long and athletic and had 11 rebounds, 3 blocks and 2 steals to go along with 35 points. He could have easily had 40+ if he could shoot FT's. He was only 9-18 from the line and some of those were the front in of one-and-ones.

The biggest play of the game was in OT when Diane swiped the ball away from Garrison Goode and took off on a breakaway. Joe Mooney made a mistake and fouled him from behind without really making a play on the ball and got called for a flagrant 1. Diane made both FT's and CSUN got to inbound the ball under their basket and they scored again. That essentially put the game away for the Matadors.
  • MBB 2/21 7 pm: Aggies (10-15 & 6-5) @ CSUN (10-17 & 4-7)
Ags lose 81-76 in OT. Stephan Gonzalez kept the Ags in the game with 23 but 15 TO's that led to 24 CSUN points killed us along with giving up 13 offensive boards that led to the Matadors getting 18 second chance points. Not a good game for the Ags.

    In other BW games:

    Cal Poly 88 Hawai'i 80
    Santa Barbara 82 Fullerton 67
    Long Beach 71 Riverside 67
  • MBB 2/21 7 pm: Aggies (10-15 & 6-5) @ CSUN (10-17 & 4-7)
50-44 CSUN with 10:51 to go. Ags playing sloppy basketball, already have 7 fouls and are missing point blank shots. Can't win that way.
  • MBB 2/21 7 pm: Aggies (10-15 & 6-5) @ CSUN (10-17 & 4-7)
Ags take a 36-34 lead into the break. Playing good defense but Lamine Diane is practically unstoppable within 10 feet and has 19 points and 6 rebounds already.
  • WBB 2/23 2 pm) Hawai'i (11-14 & 7-5) @ UCD (18-6 & 10-1)
Karly Eaton was 5-6 from 3 and Kourtney Eaton was 4-6 from 3. 9-12 for the twins is pretty darn good and 62% 3 point shooting as a team will win you some games.
  • WBB 2/23 2 pm) Hawai'i (11-14 & 7-5) @ UCD (18-6 & 10-1)
Really poor basketball in the first 4 minutes of the 3rd quarter by the Ags. TO's and poor shots...
  • MBB 2/21 7:30 pm: UCD (10-14 & 6-4) @ Fullerton ( 12-13 & 8-3)
The shots just were not falling. Defensively, we got the game we wanted by keeping the score in the low 60's but we also had trouble with our interior defense. We competed hard as usual but the offense never really got untracked and we had too many critical TO's. Mooney and Gonzalez were both cold from the field and, other than Siler, we were empty offensively.

We could have taken this game to OT at least with better FT shooting. I'm not sure why the men shoot FT's at a poorer percentage than the women. The Lady Ags just step up to the line and drain them.

Need to regroup and beat CSUN tomorrow which will be no easy task in their house.
