  • Big Sky Champs!!
It was great fun up see in Reno. Very good turnout of Aggie fans. Beautiful day and clean air!

The Ags were in celebration mode after the game and the players came over to the fans and the Band-uh with the Causeway trophy and the Big Sky Championship trophy and sang the fight song. Really special to see all that joy!!

I’ll miss that one too. We’re up in Reno for the Causeway. I’d love for the Ags to come home with 2 wins!

57-54 Ags in OT. We need to make games ugly with our defense until our offense finds a rhythm

From the Sacramento Bee: Causeway Classic adds another twist to rivalry that has plenty: game moved to Reno

“We need a game,” Hawkins said. “Baseball has a lot of games. Basketball has a lot of games. Football has a lot of practices but not a lot of games.”
“I’m not into hate,” Hawkins said Thursday at the Causeway luncheon. “There’s enough of that in our world. I’m not into that. I respect teams. Respect each other. That’s the message the rest of the world needs to listen to.”
“Every single day I wonder what Bob Biggs would do, what Fred Arp would do, what Bob Foster would do, what Jim Sochor would do,” Hawkins said. “I don’t feel pressure with wins and losses. I feel a lot of pressure representing Aggie pride.”

  • Week 12: Big Sky
I've seen it two games in a row now where he runs up the score. He rubbed our nose in it last week with that TD pass from Barriere with 41 seconds to go in the game and up 32 points. Barriere is an incredible athlete and they're a machine on offense but what goes around comes around...
  • WBB 11/16: Aggies (0-2) at Portland State (2-0)
Hard to say why this team is performing so poorly. I think it's like Russ Bowlus said above about how much chemistry gets underestimated. That could be part of it. The team is certainly pressing given the number of shots they are missing. It seems like one they start missing and turning the ball over it just snowballs. Jen's got her hands full trying to get this team on track.

Coach Best pours it on PSU 74-23. I hope his bad karma comes back around and bites him in the ass.

Anybody know if there will be any food vendors at the game tomorrow?
  • WBB 11/16: Aggies (0-2) at Portland State (2-0)
Gianotti, Nagel and Nafehk were really a special trio of players. They were all so solid in all aspects of the game...smart, poised, focused and all 3 could shoot the 3 and drive the ball. This year's team is struggling to find the right pieces right now.

I don't think the coaches or the players saw this coming...they're really struggling.

Two EWU players have gone out with injuries already.
  • Week 12: Big Sky
14-0 EWU 6 minutes into the game.
  • Week 12: Big Sky
Barriere romps for a 66 yard TD on the 3rd play of the game and lead PSU 7-0 after 1 minute of play.
  • WBB 11/16: Aggies (0-2) at Portland State (2-0)
Ags lose their third straight 65-50 after a miserable shooting display. The Aggies shot 25% overall which includes 4-33 from 3 for 12%. Morgan Bertsch had 19 and Cierra McKeown had 8 but neither shot the ball well and after that the contributions from everyone else was practicably negligible.

The Aggies have a starting rotation that includes 3 seniors, a junior and sophomore that got a good amount of playing time last year but have failed to find reliable team leaders so far. The level of drop off from last year's team is surprisingly unexpected.

Davis Enterprise: UC Davis unveils $40 million sports-health complex

Among the UCD coaches on hand was former Aggie water polo maven for almost 40 years the women’s team coach, Jamey Wright.

“It’s one of those things that you think about: ‘What if? Wouldn’t that be cool?'” Wright said.

“It’s always seemed so far away, but now it’s a real thing …

“The opportunities for student-athletes to have all of these amazing facilities right here? It’s fantastic. I’m blown away. I’m really speechless. I can’t even comprehend all the great things it’s going to bring us. Amazing.”
