Been silently watching and reading this story with great interest.
It would be great to see both Causeway teams go FBS. However, it is just as likely that Sac loses football as it is to get to FBS. They have very limited options since neither of the West Coast conference seem at all interested. Seemingly, the Pac 12 and MW have both said no thanks to adding a financially challenged school with second rate facilities.
Dr. Wood may have started this with great, albeit naive, intentions. But at this point, he is dragging out this story as a means of portraying accomplishment and distracting from the major financial issues Sac State is facing.

One of the Aggie coaches was on campus at Cardinal Newman HS today. CNHS is the closest thing the North Coast has to a football power house and has a very talented group of seniors, especially on offense. This is the school that produced Aggie QB Randy White.

New to posting, but reading these boards for years. I went to UC Davis long enough ago to have seen the Ags be a dominant and consistent program. I still go to a game or two a year, but it has been tough to watch and not left my kids with a great impression of the school. For the first time in years I am excited about the new season. I know it will take time, but at least there is a sense that things will get better.
