Don't know if this accounts for all the 3-pt shooting issues, but the Honda Center seems to always be tough to shoot in. Schneider in particular seems to struggle there.

It's a small sample size, but last years NIT 1st round saw the 16 first round games split evenly between the higher and lower seeds, including 3 of the 4 #7 seeds beating the #2 seeds. Of course, part of that might be mis-seading (people complain about seeding in the NCAA tournament, imagine how hard it must be to seed in the NIT). Previous year saw 15 of the 16 higher seeds winning in round 1. As you said, talent usually wins out.

11.5 sounds about right. As with secondary bowl games in football, I wonder how motivated a team that feels slighted by the NCAA is. Do they come out all hyped up ready to show that they belonged in the big dance, or slow and depressed that they are playing in "just" the NIT.

I would imagine we would try and push the tempo when possible, but we'll need to get stops and rebounds on the defensive end first. If the break isn't available, I'm sure we'll pull it out and use the clock. If we can keep the score in the 60's (not easy) we'll have a chance. Looks like the one common opponent, Hawaii, Utah beat by 20 in Utah.

Interesting rule changes. Obviously testing driving them to see if they want to implement season wide. I could see the 3-pt shooters having to really think about where they are on the court now, rather than it being "natural".

some elderly Aggie fan was getting on Bertsch pretty hard. He kept yelling she should leave the game and cry on the bench. It was very classless. It was clear he didn’t know the team very well because he kept callling her 22 and not by name.

Well that was tough to watch. Don’t understand why ucr didn’t foul earlier on out last possession and why a layup down by 3. But we’ll take it. Hopefully that does away with any tightness we may have felt. Good Aggie support, except for one idiot who should have his Aggie sweatshirt taken away.
