Bring back the actual farm tractor (??) and whistle!

Can't we just forward this discussion to the Aggie Pack?
  • Will the Fans Ever Really Come Back?
Interesting observations. I loved fans going on the field at the Toom, the Banda, etc. ... Something that has struck me as forced was the whole basketball team locking arms after every game as a tradition for one song, maybe its me.

I like the tradition of the Rec Hall being Rec Hall, having 8,000 seats, having upper bleachers that form a wall to keep contests with 2,000 or 3,000 intimate, the upper sections not having gaping holes, IM photos in the hallways, and not having a giant section of fenced off pipes right in front of two major facilities. The entryway multi colored wall tiles for donors were fine, too, vintage 1970s. Do I sound grumpy enough?

+1!!! ... and you never know what it can lead to... an internship or job in athletics, a job at The Aggie, letters of recommendation, even a position with AST!
  • Field Hockey 1-9
No. Perfect place for more dorms? ...

I also read Rec Pool will be redone into 2 pools... I hope they don't screw it up like the MU, MU entryway, large pipes in front of ARC, new seats at Pavilion, etc.

The band came by the dorms when I was a student, and I never once had to be bribed to go to a game with goodies.

Thanks for your input... have you ever spoken to the Aggie Pack leaders about the most important items? Are they knowledgeable, receptive? I was on the student side for the ND game and spoke with 2 pairs of students. Newbie freshmen, very nice, one pair possibly int'l students, curious but not yet committed fans.

I do think the Pac12 is an easier sell.

Agreed about social media, and I'd also include late night comics, NYT, etc. I don't worship or hate any president as one example. We have real issues we just kick down the road, whether it is the City of Davis, the state, or our nation. A youngster I know who has claimed to love socialism doesn't know a single fact about the implosion of Venezuela. She has had a smartphone for 6 years. But she knows America is bad?
  • Week 6: Eastern Washington @ UC Davis
For any high school student athlete who might find this discussion, let's be clear. We've made HUGE strides!

This rivalry with a top FCS team is a perfect example.

Last year we lost to the same team 63-30, a 33 point loss. This past weekend we lose on a last second field goal miss, losing by 3 points. (We missed 3 FGs, total.)

    That's a 30 point improvement.

    Go Ags.

I might have missed a few when I was standing in the concession lines.

They're more connected, yet less. In our day we also wanted to be seen, but then we'd connect w the band the game, the strategy. Now the dumb phone rules all. Parents bear a chunk of the blame, many have stopped parenting.

The dept is also playing catch up. 5 ADs, 3rd Ass AD for Fraising, no Ass AD for mrkting, The Aggie coming back. Thank goodness we have a stadium and traditions. Hawk was hired bc he can coach and motivate.

Tip from a friend. When she goes to lunch with her children she has everyone put their phones in the middle of the table. First person to reach for the phone pays for the meal.

I'm told he missed passing whatever test they have by a thin margin, so he will be back next game.

This was essentially our first two minute drill under game pressure. We've either won or lost comfortably. Maier, Modise, Tehran, Martin and at least Montgomery all new and most probably not at Spring practice. With the Bye week, I'm sure we'll go over it. Did we run the fly Sat?

I think our kicker was perfect before Saturday. One kick was blocked.

Frosh K Whelan, 6'5", nailed a 72 yarder in HS, in practice.

HeroSports has an online poll for the FCS POTW. Doss is one of 5 choices, few votes. Here is the link.

Can someone in ICA also upload a picture of Doss to their player comparison database? Thanks.

Recruit Chris Olave from San Diego, who has approx 10 offers, was just offered by Ohio State football on his way to the UCD / EWU contest.

If we're 2 deep, that should help a little.

Good to see Soph LB Brandon Jamison get a sack.
