That being said, the new unit has now had several weeks to gel together. Best performance so far @ Idaho, but need their A+ game Saturday night. Coombs and his defensive captains are going to be putting in a ton of hours this week.

Explaining to my Dad the state of the season and we're both concluding that If we don't beat Idaho tomorrow, we don't make the playoffs. That damn Mercer result is killing us.

Definitely something Shelton and Plough need to scheme up a bit more. Obviously, it's a QB preservation thing right, and a RFr. QB at that.

Yeah, but their special teams actually played well...and they got 2 picks and a fumble recovery to end the first half...all that and Davis still only lost by 1 point.

My theory is that the defense is what it is, and the special teams are what they are - so go all in on the offense outscoring the other team.

It's a temporary thing...put there to have something there extra, but we all know when the permanent plan is built in, it's going to be gone.

Lehigh, Harvard, Tennessee Tech are all over-ranked in my opinion.

Of those three I think Tennessee Tech has the most talent.
