I've never understood the triple option in the D1 era at Cal Poly.

There is more than enough talent in Southern California alone to field 11 athletes and run a more modern offense if they so choose.

We can't say much about it.....they've been a playoff team multiple times, making this season pretty much an anomaly.

From what I've seen and heard from him on camera, he is bright. Davis would be lucky if he stuck with the program and became a coach after playing professionally. Always looking for the next head coach (after Hawk and Plough).

I think our school didn't do Doss ANY favors. No promotion, nothing.

No love for Doss over on AGS. How can a guy win an award when the country (ouside of NorCal and Big Sky) has never even seen the guy in action?

Is he retired now? I googled his name and he didn't come up at a different school. He is going on 64 years old.

I re-watched his HS senior highlights. He might have been a great Safety too. Just a tremendous athlete we are lucky to have.

When Hawaii leaves (and they probably will), the Big West will be even more boring. The only conference in the country with all teams in the same state. Hell, lets just finish this thing and get Merced and Santa Cruz moved up to D1 and get them in. :-}
