I don't know if it's a coincidence, but the Ags went on a 28-8 run after the Bake backboard dunk.

Shaw will make some awful pass, followed by a nice steal and an offensive rebound. He'll really contribute once he gets a little more experience.

    Wish Ba was healthy.

Great second half of the 1st half. Ags up by 32-29.

Yeah I wouldn’t have called that flagrant. Seemed like the beach player was just hustling for the ball.

Boy give the Beach all the credit in the world. SB was cruising and Beach just wouldn’t stop hustling. 81-76 SB with 2:30 left

Just saw Hampton on the bench in a heavily bandaged leg/knee. Poor kid.

Feels like SB is just a few possessions away from blowing this open. Beach is playing well, especially short handed, but I thinks it’s just a matter of time.

Kinda think that fouls will play a major factor on both sides. We need to keep our bigs out of trouble and we really need to get to the foul line as much as possible. Getting in the bonus early would certainly help us out

I'm just going to guess here but I bet the Ags are going to be hyped to play Hawaii again. You know they weren't happy with their effort on the island and probably want a chance to clearly demonstrate their dominance. Of course, now they actually have to go out and do it. Hall is the key, obviously. If she can get her shot going a bit better than what we've seen recently, and limit her fouls, I like our chances. Also need Stobbart to hit her layups. Too often it looks like she is rushing her shot when she doesn't have to.

As they say, survive and advance in tournaments. Hopefully we get our game legs back underneath us and start making some of these open shots.

Glad we're playing the 9 seed and not the 4 seed in our first game.

    Game time. Let's go Ags!
  • Big West Tournament
All three BW games today (2 men’s and 1 women’s) all went to the lower seed. Probably means nothing but it is interesting.

Fullerton beats UCR and will face the Ags tomorrow at 11:00 (1 vs. 9).
  • Morgan Bertsch with Scott Marsh
What a great interview. If there is a poster child for Aggie Athletics, it's definitely Morgan.

Great news for Hall. She definitely is the glue for this team.

Manjon and Pepper make the 2nd team all BW. Good break out year for Pepper. Relentless is a good description of his game.

I remember Les saying a few years ago that he would pick the early game because it would give us the longest layoff until the next days game. Of course that only matters if you win that first game.

Yeah I totally get it. This was a rough weekend and I was impressed by the talent level at UH. They will be formidable in the tournament and certainly next year. I just think that our young players on the bench were recruited for a reason and once they get comfortable in our system, which can take a year or more for some, they will produce.

I honestly think a lineup of Carreon/Turner/Harris/Konrad/Stobbart will be favored to win it all again next year, especially when you factor in the consistent excellence of coach Gross and staff. There’s talent on the bench that will step up next year along with a couple of high level recruits. Konrad will step into the do everything Hall role, Stobbart will continue to dominate defensively and will increase her offensive production, Turner will be a league leader in points...I could go on but I think we’ve learned over the years that even as we graduate important players, the system keeps rolling along.
