Printup puzzles me. I was sitting on the court for NIU and thought he provided some physicality and length on defense, and was solid on offense. He had a good outing at Portland with 11 points in something like 20 minutes (he may have started). Seems like we could have used him yesterday against a big, athletic team
First solid half to be down 2. 13 turnovers is not good ( that half court trap caused issues) but they have 11 to keep us close. These guys are a throwback to the phi slamma jamma style of play
I read that 2 of their starters are suspended. Both are transfers (with checkered pasts) so it MSU be an eligiblity issue. They have many transfers (with checkered pasts). Like to see a solid competitive game; we’re not great after layoffs
hard to find media guides (none on our site). I did some digging and found JT played in 2001 East-West game. Daft played in 98 Hula and Blue Gray games.
I remember going through the Big West rosters last year looking for 6-10 type players. Not many and a large fraction foreign. I think the to programs grab those guys so it’s either foreign players and transfers for the lower mid-majors.
Les was pretty upbeat in comments after the game. Said preseason schedule is a real test but that this team is much better than 3 weeks ago, and expects an even better one in three more weeks. I agree; doesn’t look like the same group that played in Sac
Not shocked by either outcome but thought bobcat defense would be better. Both big sky offenses were flawed, especially Weber without their back. Subpar QB play
