I was surprised by that. He’s really struggled this season but I don’t think it’s been a lack of effort. Maybe sit and observe and come back strong. I really root for him; he’s really evolved into a complete player

The playing time numbers that jumped out were Silar (7 minute) and John (4). Are those correct? That seems like more than a shakeup

This was a GUTSY decision to not start those guys. If we lose, that could really derailed the rest of the year. But with a solid win, maybe they all get untracked and finish strong. I think we have 6 of the final 8 at home after the central coast trip. Beat Poly next week, and guy out another 5 wins down the stretch?

Wish I would have watched this one!
  • Where’s the new equestrian coach?
greatest win in program history, no question!

its wednesday; thursday is the coach's road trip to the city.
  • MEN'S WATER POLO
we need to move up to FBS in equestrian!!!!
  • Tailgate/season pass renewal
They have blocked off larue for brewfest and for some food trucks. I expect they will use that as much as possible
  • Tailgate/season pass renewal
I meant LaRue as the street to be used for tailgating; maybe that and that Lot 48 would keep things central. Montana was spread out over a wide area, but they made it work. We can ask next week at the Signing Party but i'm pretty sure the answer will still be 'That's a good question!'. I know they are working on it, and its a priority, but lots of moving parts.
  • Tailgate/season pass renewal
i suspect the Team Aggie tent will either stay in the general area (in a portion that effects the practice field minimally) or take over a portion of lot 56. I think they would like to have the tailgate and Team Aggie on Hutchinson Field but there needs to be some wheeling and dealing with ICA to accomplish that.

At Montana, the tailgating was spread along roads that ran near the stadium and on various grass areas nearby. They could use Hutchinson field and Hutchinson Road in a similar manner.
  • Keelan Doss to play in the East-West Shrine Game
I caught the end of a segment on KNBR this afternoon where Larry Kruger was talking about the Senior Bowl and who would fit into the 49er's plans. Keelan was one of the 4 or 5 he mentioned.
  • MBB 1/26 7 p.m. HST: UCD (5-13, 1-2) @ Hawaii (11-6, 2-1)
the preseason schedule was a bear. i was glancing through, and i'm only disaapointed with two of the losses -> Sac and UT-Arlington (and just a little since it was its the 2nd of a back-to-back on the road). i was shocked by the margin of the losses to the WCAC teams. the BWC schedule start has been tough. UCI and LB on the road, Hawaii on the road. Still time to right the ship and finish in the upper half, but its going to take a real mental toughness to do it. AJ's outing on Saturday gives some hope, as does Nuefield. Squire and Fuller played a combined 5 minutes, after being key members of the rotation early. Goode played 11 minutes, with no points or rebounds. Silar another 2 point night. getting a solid performance from 4 or 5 guys has not happened all year, either due to injury or bad matchups or something. its hard to pinpoint what the heck is going on.
  • MBB 1/26 7 p.m. HST: UCD (5-13, 1-2) @ Hawaii (11-6, 2-1)
This group, essentially, went 6-2 down the stretch. But, as someone pointed out to me last week, those 6 wins included 2 3OT, a 2OT, and a 1-point win at home. Really close to 2-6. Michael O’s contribution might have been overlooked in both ends of the court. We miss that grittiness.
  • MBB 1/26 7 p.m. HST: UCD (5-13, 1-2) @ Hawaii (11-6, 2-1)
40-32 at half, Hawaii finishes with 14-6 over last 5 minutes. John on fire, 5-6 from floor, 13 points. Shorts and Nuefield have the rest of the scoring. rainbows shooting over 50%. Need to stiffen in defense and get more scoring. Mooney and Silar need to step up. Hate these late games.
  • 2019 Recruiting List
No Fcs have 63 to spread among 85 (I think that’s the number). FBS have 85 Full to give to 85. We have to be creative with grants to fill the gap ( UC gap is being than our competition)

they have a ton of kids who are either JC transfers or FBS/FCS transfers. that's going be hard to find another school to land at.
  • WBB 1/19 2:30 pm DH: Irvine (12-3, 2-1) @ the Aggies (10-6, 2-1)
‘Girls’ are really good at home. Fun to watch
  • MBB 1/19 5 pm DH: Cal Poly (4-11, 0-2) @ UCD (4-13, 0-2)
They really looked good in the second half. Silar, Gonzo, Mooney and Nuefield looked solid.

I took the blame last Saturday for Mexican dinner Saturday night so I was nervous when they served Fajitas in the Team Aggie. My wife gets credit this Saturday. She sent me to hospitality at halftime to get ponpoms for the 3 little kids sitting by us. She and the kids got into it in the second half. Win and pizza! Great night for 5 year olds!

The ribbons were in 5th out to pole line. Nice showing by the community
  • Officer Killed in Davis
Great article by Bob. We are in town today and seeing the blue ribbons along 5th (the procession route to Arbuckle?) was sombering. Such a tragedy.
