FG for SDSU, but it looked a lot worse with them in the red zone. I'm listening to the SDSU broadcast and all of the ads are for farming and agriculture. It almost makes us look like city cowboys by comparision.

Anyone a little nervous about the 4th?

WSU women are an interesting team to watch. I saw them two weeks ago at Idaho's brand new arena. Idaho's women played them tough and point for point in the first half but WSU blew them out in the third quarter and won going away. It was fun but the music there is too loud. The WSU women have a bunch of international players, one from Canada, one starter from Rwanda and many others from AUS/NZ.

Also for FCS teams, you get a better return by playing P5 or G5 teams in your own or adjacent region. That's why you see the Ags playing Cal, Washington, Nevada and SJSU etc. Granted we did just play Tulsa but that is more of a rarity. The travel costs are less and there is a likelihood of having local alums connect with the school.

Cal and UC Davis love playing each other because it keeps the money in their system and provides an attendance boost for Cal (and for Davis it allows them to get Bay Area fans excited for the team and see them in person). A school like Stanford also appreciates playing us because they will get a boost by playing us. SJSU/Fresno/Nevada can keep the payouts lower since they are relatively close to Davis but still get a home game.

A school like Sac or Davis probably will not spend the money to travel to Florida or Georgia to play a gimme against an ACC or SEC school. One because there are a lot more G5 and FCS teams back east and for the reasons I previously gave. Secondly, the payout is higher but the school may not have the alumni networks that they will in CA or the west coast and some of that is offset by the travel aspect. Third, since there are fewer western teams, the demand for gimme games is still somewhat high. Notice that Cal or Stanford often play their FCS game against Big Sky teams (exception being Stan will play Colgate next year).

Don't forget we could easily go 0-4 or 1-3 to start the season in 2022. @ Cal, at the Jackrabbits, at home vs Weber, and away at MSU.

That might be the game if they don't score on the next possession.

SDSU is my pick to win it all. Of course I want the Ags to win.

Their running game is killing the Aggies. I will admit they are playing a lot better than I expected.

I live near WSU/Idaho and that temperature is warmer than you'd expect for this time of year, but for Davis, California this would be cold for any month though there are freezing days of course (overnights to clarify). I think you all win by three scores. I hope I'm wrong but you all were my pick to win it all this season. If you beat us, you'd better beat Sac State. We hate them here.

But what if the students vote to kill the program by ending the student fees? I personally think they'd be better served in capping them rather than cutting them all together.

At this point we might need to root for Wilcox to get fired at Cal and they hire Troy Taylor from Sac.

The students have no excuse to not show up. When I was a student, the CP and Sac games always had a bit more interest from fellow students.
