  • Week 1: UC Davis @ Idaho
Idaho is certainly outplaying us, but somehow we are still keeping it close. I personally think the main focus should be Fall but every win is still important.

Not a bad decision to try for the FG though it didn't work out.

Nice QB work today by Rodrigues.
  • Week 1: UC Davis @ Idaho
Thought about going today since I only live an hr away, but wasn't able to make it. Thankful for Pluto TV. Nice to see our defense keeping their offense down this drive.

Glad they were able to answer. Idaho still outplaying the Ags but Davis is keeping it close.
  • Poly on pause
I live about 70 miles from U of I, and those tickets go onsale a week from Monday. Hoping that game still happens.
  • Poly on pause
Wow, lets hope they can get the game in. Our athletes deserve it.
  • SUU to WAC
I would be sad to see Sac state cut football. It is good for FCS to have three teams in CA. We would never leave the BW due to cost and like minded schools. The WAC needs another FCS school to get an autobid.
  • Physical Education eliminated
I took "Exercise Walking" my first quarter at Davis. While I still can't believe it was an actual class, it was a nice way to see parts of West Campus (pre-development) and learn the area. Coach Zalesky was great and you could tell he enjoyed walking and talking with us. Great guy. I'm not sure if he's still at Cal Baptist or not.

I also took Bowling with Nunes. I hated my Racquetball course though. I don't remember which coach taught that (this was around 10 years ago). I bought a fancy set at the ARC for the class and hated the sport and I thought the coaching was boring. I think I stopped attending after the first month and had a NP. I gave the equipment to a friend who used it often.

Anyway, PE should be kept, but they can't force the coaches to teach it. That said, most coaches may enjoy teaching a sport they like in their free time (and additional money in an expensive area helps).
  • Daytime basketball game?
Do our MBB and WBB teams take commercial flights to Hawaii? Do they fly to any other opponents? I've asked this question before, but FB I imagine flies to every game besides Sac, CP, or any CA/Reno FBS games? Does FB have charted flights due to team size?
  • Playoffs
Exactly. Friday night is for HS...certainly not for college football. The FCS and Pac 12 having important games on Friday cheapens the product. Totally agree with you on the weariness on the student athletes.
  • Playoffs
The part where UT Knoxville is located is on Eastern. The rest, including Nashville and Memphis is on Central. Austin Peay is near Nashville.
  • Playoffs
Austin Peay is a Central time team. They played (home time kickoffs) at 8pm at Sac and 6pm in Bozeman but you are absolutely correct that travel and jet lag likely impacted their quality of play.
  • Playoffs
Also surprising was NDSU failing to score a touchdown and edging Illinois State 9-3 today. First time the Bison did not score a TD at home since 2002's DII season.
  • Ags Add Oregon State to the 2023 Schedule
Kind of crazy to think we haven't played in Corvallis more recently. They are either a very long day's drive away or just a short a hr flight.
  • Cal State going to bowl game
They are based in Santa Clara so they really have no excuse.
  • Tedford resigns; 4 Defensive Cal & Stan players to transfer
I'd take Fresno over Bake, any day. The air quality is a little bit better and you can get a nice house in Clovis or in the foothills. That said, my aunt and uncle live in Bake and like it, but they also have a ranch in Sonoma County so they can escape the summer heat.

Fresno's Red Wave has me jealous.
  • Ballpark photos
I love the photos! Please keep em coming. I no longer live close enough to Dobbins. But, I love baseball more than almost anything else, so I enjoy these photos. All the more in the offseason.
  • Playoffs
In fairness to them, area got a lot of rain and that stadium would not be a fun place in a rainstorm. I am glad they lost.
  • Playoffs
This makes me happy. The rest of the Big Sky has a great day, proving the toughness of the conference but Sac still gets crushed. How perfectly delightful for Aggie fans. They will still get good recruits, but imagine what a deep run had done for that program.
