Sorry, i did not catch that. I had just looked atanotjer article about John Cook and it replaced Grant with Cook. I guess you have to keep am eye on aito correct.

I did.mention Khari as one of our QBs who went on to have pro careers. The ones I did not mention were Jeff Bridewell, JT O'Sullivan and John Cook. That is how we got the nickname QB' U

Wasn't Laughrea a transfer from another school. Was suppose to be a star i believe? But, i do not remembering him starting or finishing the year

Riveraggie that is true too. But after moving up Davis was still able to get a fair share of quality QB's to sign. They just were not the 6' 4" mobile big arm types. We were recruiting the shorter overlooked guys

True about the dry spell. But this was more due to.moving from D2 to FCS D1AA. We were on probabtion for 4 years so we could not be in the playoffs. This made it very difficult to recruit top QBs and players because of this. So, about 6 years we had recruiting problems due to probation. Then we had to re-establish our past history with QBs to get solid QBs. So, i think this was expected.

John Grant did sign with a CFL team, but i do not know if or how long he played. But he had his shot. Cenham had a good chance, but he up and left us withput a QB. The Plough,Denham, Engle group never played enough to get noticed. Engle probably played the most, but he was more of a 2nd stringer not a starter. So, yeah we were short a QB, like Lucido. But, none of them wete teally be low average. We had gotten spoiled with Scott Barry, Mike Moroski, O' brien, khari Jones, Kevin Daft, etc.

When Moroski was QB for I think 2 years as I think he replaced Speck
And at most i think Moroski lead the team to the playoffs against Bethune-Cookeman and Puget Sound. I do not remember Moroski missed many games at all. He probably played in 1979 when Obrien got hurt. But, i graduated in 78 He used to come over to our place as his good friend who lived with us in 1978. In 1978 playoffs Moroski threw the 99 yard TD pass to Calvin Ellison. About a 4 yard forward pass and Ellison did the rest. Lucido played i think 3 1/2 games in 1979. Back them we on!y played 10 games. So it was almost a half season. And Randy had a 126.30 career rating which is average for the time. Thst includes his terrible game against Cal.

For this guy- when was the last time we did not have a very good qb? I am thinking John Lucido but he,was average. Most our qb's went on to play pro football in Canada
  • Low Interest in Men's Basketball?
I remember the game where Mark Ford was pushed into the bleachers by Hayward State,'s #13
Aggie fans booed him right out of the game
  • Quarterfinals Week 16: UC Davis (11-2) @ South Dakota (10-2)
The Aggies are down 7 after watching the refs against Tarleton. A catch in the end zone after being dropped by their receiver was ruled complete after being caught by a different receiver. On review it is obvious the ball hit the ground. Refs ruled a TD. No way!

Maybe we won't be one of the first four out this year. But you never know
  • 2024 Week 6: UC Davis (4-1) @ Portland State (0-4)
Appears to be on the goaline. Both fee down in the endzone, ball lodged between ?ower and upper arm area. All cannot e more than 1 foot in front of his body. A portion of the ball is very like!y to be touching the goal line

Tompkins left foot is almost out of bounds
  • 2024 Week 6: UC Davis (4-1) @ Portland State (0-4)
Tompkins catch was across the plane. There was a Viking player who pushed him forward after the catch. I have a screenshot where Tompkins arms are curled up behind the ball and his arms are at the goal line
  • 2024 Week 5: Idaho (3-1) @ UC Davis (3-1)
The one thing you had to.look at is defensive turnovers. This left a shorter field for the Ags to travel and time possession. The Ags kick off and leave a longer field to get yards and not core. Hence the yardage differential really isn't a big deal.
Lets say a team kicks off and the three times they kick the defense gets the ball and returns it for a TD.
Now say the subsequent kick off the team gets it and marches down the field, but misses the FG.
The offense gets the ball and scores a one play TD. Then kickoff and the fumble #2 occu rs and the defense runs it in for a score. Then on the next kick off the other team again marches down the fiels and scores. After this scenario the team losing big will have more total yards, but they are still losing.
Now because of errors, but they have a greater TOP and yards, but are still losing due to errors.

Well, i believe the other teams will take notice of that particular play. And that could be a good thing. Do the same play , a pump fake to the receiver, then the receiver does a go route.
