  • 2024 Week 4: Utah Tech (0-3) @ UC Davis (2-1)
Yeah, yeah, know all about that Dixie stuff...thought it was odd having a school in southern Utah with such a name. Didn't really fit or make any sense, ha ha. St. George though is a beautiful town My stepdad's brother lived there for 30 years before he moved South to Arizona, when we next play down there I'll have to get him to come to the game, and get my Mom out there too.

St. George is even closer to Vegas than Cedar City, so nice trip if you're a fan.

Interesting history however, due to all the nuclear testing in the 50's, much fallout came to the region around St. George, and for roughly 3 or 4 decades locals suffered cancers at a 100x to 1000x rate that of the national average. Look up "Dirty Harry" 5/19/1953, bad stuff. Used to call those affected as "Downwinders".

Is Utah Tech really a Tech central university? All these years they were Dixie State, just wondering why it wasn't Dixie Tech or something.

Look, they're 0-3, they're on the road, they just got blasted, they have nothing to lose. Ags are banged up, and will likely see this as another week to help key guys recover, but you have to put your best game forward every week. No free rides on this crazy train, Aggies have to be ready to execute at a high level to win. Can't be looking past to the next week, take care of this week's business first. Will Kennedy finally break loose?

Interesting that this is the second time this season Davis will be playing a transitioning FCS team...in fact, with the landscape today, it sounds like both SUU and Utah Tech are working to get to the FBS level in the next 5 years.

Red Zone Offense and the careless turnovers. Need to fix it or the Aggies are toast this season.

"They can't block Teddye Buchanan." Out of the announcer's mouth during the SDSU @ Cal game.
  • @ Mercer to Open 2025
I think I'm making the Mobile trip --- only because I want to see the Gulf Coast, never have, and I can hit the Biloxi strip and gamble a bit, only an hour away. Heck, New Orleans is only 2 hours away which is where almost everybody will have to fly into I reckon.

Not sure if it was mentioned but Aggie Pride Football Podcast got a nice shoutout on the broadcast during the game.

Somebody call Kendrick and Eldering...who cured it way back in the 40's with their groundbreaking vaccine. Hope the Vikings recover - not sure what the timeline is for that. Talk about an Old Timey headline!
  • 2024 Week 2: Texas A&M Commerce (0-1) @ UC Davis (0-1)

An X clip, or a legitimate highlight package? Personally, I want a legitimate highlight package - available on YouTube, fully licensed and approved by network involved and the Big Sky/UC Davis.
  • Pac-12 set to add Boise, 3 other MW schools
So, advertising team can't sell out a 10,743 person stadium on an average FCS opponent week, but should Oregon State come to town, magically 20,000 people will fill the seats? I'd love to see Aggie Football raise the stakes, but what's a realistic transition plan? Facilities take money, and time to build, having built a major project on campus -- it's like pulling teeth with those people. Whoever is engaging the students, they need an upgrade. Football isn't a priority with this student base, it's a side hobby if there's time on a Saturday afternoon - and a lot of modern kids would rather stay in their dorm and play on their phone or their IPad.

By Bob Dunning's predictions, we're 11-0 or 12-0 every season, just saying.
  • 2024 Week 2: Texas A&M Commerce (0-1) @ UC Davis (0-1)
Really great video, well done by the production staff.

Would be nice to have basic game/broadcast highlights night of or the day after the game, that really is standard fare for any Division I Football program.
