Believe TB enrolled in a Master's program at Cal. Don't think he'd have completed a Cal level Master's degree in 9 months, so probably not. Maybe I'm wrong, anybody know?

Teddye Buchanan is ranging from Rd 4 all the way to UDFA - scouts love his athleticism, as he had a great Combine workout. Sounds like a Saurday (Day 3) type of day for Aggies and former Aggies - we'll see where Teddye ends up.

This whole thing feels like Chappelle riffing as Rick James - - like there's not much of a plan, but you gotta keep the energy up and get something great out of it. An old viking once said, "Luck, often enough will save a man, if his courage hold." This whole leap before you look approach is a little nuts in my mind, and it's not to say they haven't done much looking, because clearly they are recruiting coaches and players and donations to this entire effort in a big way, but it's interesting to watch and it'll be more interesting to see what happens!

i honestly just see all this ambition crushing the program early, if not with losses, with attracting borderline students who are talented on the field but have issues off.
  • UC Davis, Sac State to share new $450M football stadium in West Sacramento

I think Student side-second deck - or a combo of building out the N end zone and behind the student zone east.

Away Game Mileage for UC Davis in 2025:
    Week 1 vs. Mercer
Montgomery, AL --- 2,015 miles there and 2,015 miles back to Sacramento

    Week 2 @ Utah Tech
Las Vegas, NV --- 387 miles there and 387 miles back to Sac. Does Mesquite have its own airstrip?

    Week 3 @ Washington
Seattle, WA --- 605 miles there and 605 miles back to Sacramento.

    Week 7 @ Cal Poly
San Luis Obispo, CA --- 286 miles to drive there and 286 miles to drive back. Does Davis charter to SLO?

    Week 10 @ Northern Colorado
Greeley, CO --- Approx. 910 miles there and 910 miles back. Would Davis charter to Greeley, or simply fly to Denver and bus it?

    Week 12 @ Idaho
Moscow, ID --- Approx. 610 miles there and 610 miles back. Looks like charter flight to Pullman next door.

    Week 13 @ Montana State
Bozeman, MT --- 720 miles there and 720 miles back. Weather unpredictable...

Total mileage to and from in 7 away games in 2025 is 11,066 miles.
5 Home Games and 2 BYEs

That's a great time for Lan.

Sportskeeda has a nice write up about the UC Davis / Sac / Hawai'i joint Pro Day held in Davis. Nice event - great job by the organizing programs. OL Jackson Slater of Sac is their best pro prospect, and put in a nice workout.

    28 NFL teams in attendance.

    Regarding Lan:
On Monday, he completed 21 reps on the bench and hit 35.5 inches in the vert and 10 feet in the broad. He timed as fast as 4.46 seconds in the 40, 6.96 seconds in the three-cone and 4.18 seconds in the short shuttle. Larison looked terrific in position drills by all accounts, as he was fluid and very healthy.

He's already been on an official visit to see the Detroit Lions, and the New Orleans Saints have shown a lot of interest in Larison and may bring him in. Several teams have a late-round grade on Larison, as I do (Tony Pauline), and this versatile third-down back deserves consideration in the late rounds.
    — Tony Pauline

I personally think it's a mistake to think of Lan as a third-down back only, but as a rookie breaking into the League who will make an early mark on special teams, his best offensive role will definitely be that 3rd or even 2nd down ability to catch it out of the backfield.

Any idea on what Lan ran yesterday?

Back to FCS? Offensive Asst. to a BCS school? It will depend on the facts of the firing, but somebody won't care...

I totally understand the scenario. It's tough - obviously if you work integrally with someone in order to do your job and they're hyper-sensitive, or hyper-insensitive, it goes both ways, it has to be dealt with out in the open through policy and with HR, I've seen a situation where even outside consulting counsel is present.

So, is Taylor now fired? Would hate for X to be gospel, because it isn't - but the fire always starts with a little spark.

I'm always of the opinion that you treat people with respect, focus on the job at hand, and as adults come up with a means of communication with each other where all avenues are met and you can conduct business together.
