  • Sears OUT at Sac State
Troy Taylor's first Head Coaching gig at the Division I level.

Dan had stints at Boise State and obviously, Colorado before this...back when Colorado was in the Big 12 playing Oklahoma and Texas most years.

7th now! We're getting bombarded by Bison Fans!
  • Ulonzo Gilliam and Jake Parks select to HERO Sports Freshman All-American Team
South Dakota State's Pierre Strong is a RFr. -- that's a scary prop for teams in the Missouri Valley. Guy's very dynamic. We get to attempt to handle Weber's Josh Davis next year in Davis.

  • 2018 FCS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

I think the team with the most speed/talent the Bison have seen this year were the South Dakota State Jackrabbits. Beat them twice, both at home, with the first game being decided by 4 points. As with most good teams that see the same opponent twice in a season, you make adjustments and hit them harder the 2nd time around. NDSU sure pounded the Jacks last Friday - but even saying that, the skill position talent and senior leadership of EWU make them the prime candidate to knock off the Bison.

NDSU will play ball control - but if EWU jumps out early and ride momentum on a NDSU miscue, it could get interesting. NDSU has been to Frisco plenty, they know the drill, and will be better prepared mentally (in my opinion) for the January game.

Can EWU get healthy? 6 starters out...are they coming back?

Also of note, NDSU has played 10 home games this season, and only 4 away games...that's 4 games away from the dome. However, every road game they played was a blowout win (@ UNI 56-31, @ WIU 34-7, @ South Dakota 59-14, @ Missouri State 48-7)

  • 2018 FCS SEMIFINALS
    Just like this:

  • 2018 FCS SEMIFINALS

Yeah, they called a few holds today. However, in my book, it isn't holding if they don't call it. HC is an O Lineman, the field is named after a star OL Alumni and NFL O Lineman...I'd say they have a good book on what you can get away with.

However, I will say, no holding was required when Barriere wiggled away for 50 yards on that last drive. Our LB had a clear run at him, and instead of breaking down and make him throw away, he runs wildly at him and EB does a simple spin to break away. You don't just go and lunge at Russell Wilson or Lamar Jackson, you have to break down and shadow the guy!
  • 2018 FCS SEMIFINALS
We didn't hold on defense when it mattered, #2 ran wild on poor tackling. We didn't deserve to be in the semis. Home field advantage is huge in the quarters and semis...even so, KSU and Weber both lost at home.

If I'm a player, looking at that 2019 schedule, I am putting in massive amounts of off-season work. Every game next year is a serious test.

The next possibility of the Aggies playing Eastern Washington is a playoff game in 2019 should they both advance...or @ Home when Barriere is a senior in 2020
