This is what I was thinking might happen. If they can keep the ground game going/sac doesnt make any major adjustments I am still gonna see them pulling the win out..
Yeah probably like Rice, SJSU or Uconn? Honestly of those schools Davis already has pretty similar quality facilities (maybe increase the football stadium by like 8-10K)
I honestly think the new (remaining) mountain west is pretty decent and will end up being a good FBS spot for Davis. Decent teams that often go to bowl games and occasionally stack up 10 win seasons but are not constantly CFB playoff level teams. Also geographically it’s pretty great with sjsu and Nevada so close and the rest of the school almost in the same travel footprint as the Big Sky.
well I dont have a photo of him in Paris with the hat... but I have a story to tell. My parents just got to Venice and were sitting at a cafe. They heard someone speaking english and looked to their left only to see a guy wearing a davis colored shirt. They joked about it for a minute onkly for the guy to turn around and be wearing a UC Davis Aggies t-shirt. Apparently their kid is a freshman and they have been wearing Davis merch all around Europe. Small small world!!
yeah I don’t really know about that. I think personally Davis could do some things to raise national profile for athletics but commenter school is a headscratcher
Oregon state is going the wrong direction in every way. Other than baseball I feel like they are going back to what small relevence they had nationally before Smith became the coach. While it’s a bigger job, I agree they unless they give him a boatload of money it’s not like OSU is in some crazy better position. I’d be curious though to know if Plough knows or has been given a game plan for Davis realignment. Id imagine it would be much harder to pull him from raising his kids at his Alma mater if Davis moving to a higher level of football is in the future. The new PAC12 is better than the MW but the difference between UC Davis in the MW and Oregon State being mediocre in the new Pac12 doesn’t seem worth it.
so agree, especially in a town that is so easily bikeable. I see the community biking to school in droves every morning, could easily bike to the game. Actually would be nice to have a little more bike parking now that I think about it..
