The Aggies continue their roadtrip, traveling to Idaho to take on Boise State for tomorrow's game,
The Broncos are undefeated, with both games at home; easily beating both Eastern Oregon (NAIA) and San Francisco (WCC). BSU has four players averaging double figures, led by Tatum Thompson and and Dani Bayes, both at 15 ppg. San Ramon Valley HS grad, Natalie Pascoe, contributes 13.5, and Libby Hutton checks in at 11.5 ppg. Hutton leads the Broncos on the boards with 9.5 rpg. Thompson and Madeline Cooke supply 6 each. Boise is projected to finish 4th in the Mountain West this season, with both Tatum and Pascoe making the preseason All-Conference team.
UCD counters with its own balanced attack, four starters averaging double digits: Ryann Bennett (19.3), Nya Epps (16.3), Megan Norris (12) and Avery Sussex (10.5). Norris averages 12.3 rpg, supported by Tegan Young (6.70 and Emmy Ersdala (5.7). The Aggies remain short-handed with Helen Matthews, Vic Baker and Ally Fitzgerald still not cleared to play. Freshmen Emmy Ersdala and Sophie Lentfer continue to play significant minutes off the bench, with Carrington Davis and Theoni Tsami looking to contribute more.
Boise State on the road will be the toughest challenge so far for the Ags. Davis will need to play a complete game and avoid a slow start they experience on Wednesday night in Ogden.
Addendum: It looks like the game will be carried on the MW Network. I think you can just click on the LARGE link on the UCD WBB Schedule page. Maybe this is what we can look forward to beginning next fall?
