After a disappointing showing in Santa Barbara on Thursday the Aggies need to get back on track against the last place Mustangs.
Cal Poly is led by Vanessa McManus (18.7). The #2 scorer in the Big West. McManus gets support from Charish Thompson (13.8). Thompson and McManus also lead SLO on the boards, at 54. And 5.1 rpg, respectively. Nora Perez chips in with 4.4 rpg as well. As a team, the Mustangs are next to last in the conference both offensively and defensively. Cal Poly averages 57 ppg and allows 73.
Davis continues to have four players averaging double digits: Ryann Bennett (15.2) ppg, Megan Norris (12.6), Nya Epps (12.5), and Avery Sussex (11.4). Norris also paces the Aggies in rebounding at 12.3 rpg, leading Big West, while Tegan Young and Nya Epps each add 4.3 boards a contest. The Aggies’ problem continues to be consistency. If one of the big 4 have an off shooting night, as Norris did on Thursday, one of the other three needs to go off. None of the other players have shown the ability to step up.
