The delay is fortuitous for Davis as they were getting whipped. Offense has no plays that they can rely on.
Defense was also either gassed or making mistakes. So a time out is a good thing.

I've lived in Atlanta for 25 years, and yes, lighting storms happen all summer. It can happen on very short notice and no weather app is good at predicting it. When the sky gets dark you head for cover.

the time zones don’t match how we visualize the states. Alabama and part of Florida are central time but all of Michigan is eastern time.

Makes a little more sense when I look at the map. You don't realize how far west the atlantic coast angles. So Alabama and Maine both being East Coach time would be kind of crazy.

Western Alabama is due south of Chicago, which is Central Time.
