If Northern Colorado doesn't beat D2 Chadron State on Saturday, it might be the end of the program- there will be people calling for it at least.....
Last winning season 2016. 14-64 record since.

    1-22 the past 2 seasons.

According to Google Ai results .....since moving to D1 in 2006, UNC has gone 35-138.

Its going to be hard not to keep one eye on the South Dakota State game to see what their opponent looks like.

The South Dakota State fans will have their “JV” signs out and perhaps matching cheers.

Except from the Sac Bee article about the Sac @ SDSU game:

And this is no casual kickoff as Sacramento State does not resemble last season’s squad. This is a revamped team with 73 new players and a new coaching staff except for offensive line coach mainstay Kris Richardson. The school’s recruiting class was ranked the best in the FCS by multiple rankings services, and the overall haul includes 27 incoming freshmen, 10 junior college transfers and 37 four-year transfers via the transfer portal.

The host Jackrabbits have plenty to play for and prove, too, having won FCS national championships in 2022 and 2023. South Dakota State can relate to a new coaching staff and a roster full of new players. Jimmy Rogers after last season left to coach at Washington State, replaced by former Jackrabbits player Dan Jackson.
The entire coaching staff also headed to WSU, as did 16 South Dakota State players via transfer. Twenty-one players left the program overall, which happens when there is coaching turnover. So this sizes up to be something of the “Great Unknown Bowl,” pitting programs with new faces trying to get on the same page in a hurry.

Sac continues to get no respect. An Eastern Washington area paper, the Spokesman-Review picks Sac eighth, behind Idaho State, Idaho and Eastern Washington. I’d sure like to hear someone explain that but they don’t. I’m not rooting for Sac, but i think the low expectations is going to turn into excessive hype if they win one of their first two games.

That has to be a writer that knows nothing about the BSC (or EWU at least).

Dr. Wood is doubling down on how he feels that Sac is a "varsity" football program and everyone else in the FCS is just JV football. I guess we'll see if he has egg on his face tomorrow or not...

My coworker went to SDSU and is going to the game against Sac today with his family. I've been getting him up to speed on the Sac State soap opera. Stingers down!

Ran into a South Dakota State fan (wearing jackrabbits tshirt) here in Walmart this morning here in North Carolina. I asked if she was a fan and she said “yes” but I wasn’t quick enough on the draw when passing her to wish her well in beating our
    biggest rival.

Not Big Sky, but after getting burned on the first play of the game and giving up a TD a few plays later, the Yotes marched down the field to tie up the game against the Iowa St. Cyclones.

Montana State getting steamrolled by Oregon - no big surprise but Montana State is looking a bit ragged even considering the competition. I think Lamson could have just stayed at Stanford. Even though he is not really a passer - the Stanford QB who played against Hawaii is a statue who throws a Joe Kapp looking ball (woof). A long ways from the glory days of excellent Stanford QBs.

Sac and SDSU are tied at 3 at the end of the first quarter. The Jackrabbits have been dominating but have shot themselves in the foot with 2 lost fumbles.

    SDSU 130 yards Sac 3
SDSU 10 first downs Sac 0
One sideline warning on Sac also.

Frankly Sac is lucky they aren't going into the locker room down by 30 if not for SDSU self inflicted wounds. Their defense has no answer for SDSU's rushing attack and Rashada looks like the Dollar Tree version of the QB they were boasting about.
