I wouldn’t be surprised. I think SDSU is a tougher team and much tougher environment. Unless 6-year Senior Chubba Purdy rises to the challenge, I think the Hornets win.
I think the Hornets win also. They're loaded with talent but getting them to play smart, disciplined and on the same page as a unified team will be the challenge for Marion. They have so much talent that they may even be able to play sloppy and still win games.
It was Boise State, but Eastern Washington did not look good at all losing 51-14 and the score didn’t reflect how uncompetitive the game was. Eastern QB can run but is a very poor passer. Eastern defense was a sieve and lacked speed. Eastern’s first string running back was out and the only rushing threat was QB Taylor.
Looks like Cody changed from his experienced QB who had a low CP through two games, to TWO young QBs who are completing about 80% of their passes. One R Frosh, the other a R Soph. Combined 17 - 22.
Somebody better tell Cody using two QBs is against the rules. s/
There are currently four FCS games that are delayed, according to ESPN. I'm in London, so probably not going to make the 4AM local kickoff time. Go Ags!
It looks like there's going to be a live feed for Poly @ Utah coming up (on YT) - that's going to be a rough one, but nice job of Poly taking care of San Diego last week.
Sac is up on Nevada 7-0 late in the 1st Q. Marion is pulling out all of the stops. Sac converted a 4th down at mid-field on their opening drive and then threw a long pass off a reverse down. The biggest gamble was converting a fake punt on 4th down and 7 from their own 4 yard line. He's definitely a gambling man!
Nevada is shooting themselves in the foot. 3 straight penalties including targeting. Sac is driving due to the penalties. 7-0 Sac at the end of the first Q.
Nevada scored with a minute to go in the half to tie the game at 10 but Sac's Cardell Williams throws a 75 yard TD bomb to take the lead into the half.
