The level of recruit also goes up in my opinion, even with the heavy academic standards - we'll be getting more guys who were looking at Stanford, Cal, Washington etc.

I definitely am looking forward to the Reno/Las Vegas trips every other year.

Preview of the Mountain West (what's left of it that's staying) - a couple of the best, UNLV and Air Force were head-to-head last Saturday - how would the Aggies match up?

I think Sac by two scores. 38-24

Not only do we have the Bobcats in Bozeman, but in mid-November as well...and assuming we get out of that game injury free, we've got an all-in Sac State team to come home to. We are in the weeds here boys and girls, only gets tougher after Northern Arizona in my opinion.

You mean like medically can't throw? That's wild if that's the case.

Montana State playing way better football than Montana right now. Montana State SOS way higher than Montana right now...

I still can't get over that overturning 'incomplete pass' call at the end of the Colorado State game. Ed Lamb must be so battle torn that the call didn't even phase him - can you imagine Paul Wulff getting that call turned around against him?

Different QBs, Pinnick is turning into a better pocket passer, but is a way better athlete than Maier ever was. Maier more of a pure passer, very good leader, but I'd also say he wasn't the least mobile QB in the universe.

Case in point James Franklin - his Penn State buyout is something like $47 Million.

Well deserved - Adam Jones has to be thinking "What the hell do I gotta do up here?"

Gundy's got to be taking a nice long break at this point - I think it'd be a decent hire for Oregon State though, but does Gundy want to roll back into work so quickly? Still, candidates won't consider the Oregon State job unless a) it was the first big HC offer they got and that's the goal of the candidate or b) the Beavs finally realign into a full, proper conference with decent prospects.

Right now, the 2026 Pac 8 is what, Oregon State, Wazzu, Boise, Colorado State, Fresno, San Diego State, Texas State and Utah State. I mean, that's not drawing top dollar vs. the Big 4.

My first two years in Davis, I lived so close to Toomey, we walked over for the game from our house. There was a walking group and we'd sort of build to it block after block like the Buckaroo Banzai trailer. Good times indeed! That was a loud North End Zone - seeing tube sock madness come back was great, at one point it got sophisticated so that socks could make it to the top rows of the seating when the "Aggie S.W.A.T." Team would come out with a compressed air gun and fire them up to the top rows so everybody got some action - I think those cannons were discontinued for obvious reasons as they shot those socks out pretty fast. Still a fun time when tube socks were in the game, not sure if the S.W.A.T. guys were ROTC, but they were fun to watch - ROTC guys and Band-Uh! used to always do push ups together, and in those J.T. O'Sullivan days there were 100's of push ups a game.
