The Ags are coming off of a tough start to the season, getting swept on the road at #3 Texas over a 3 game series. The Longhorns scored 27 runs on the Aggie pitching staff compared to the Ags 7 runs. The offense shined at moments, but struggled to take advantage of scoring with runners on base. The matchup was an uphill battle with the Longhorns expected to compete for a national championship.

This upcoming 1 game series should be a more realistic test of the Ags before conference play begins. Even so, USF is sitting undefeated, sweeping the Western Illinois Leathernecks. The Dons began the series winning in a low scoring contest 2-0 with the offense for both teams heating up as the season continued with the final 2 games ending in scores of 5-4 and 10-6 respectively.

I like that you're starting threads about baseball. I think we have opportunity to be a good baseball program that's popular with the Davis community as well.

Agreed, especially after the highwheelers dipped a year in (thanks for the lights though!)

Big win 2-1, pitching staff dominated (didn't allow a baserunner after the 4th), C Evan Gentil went 3-3 with 2 2B's, 1 1B, and a BB. Zach Story doubled in Elijah Mcneal (who got his first career hit after just missing a homer that went foul). 2-way player Keenan Anzai went 2 strong hitless innings with 4 K's and Rowen Barnes came in and shut the door in the 9th.

Personal Batter of the Game: Evan Gentil
Personal Pitcher of the Game: Keenan Anzai
