Massamba just completed his freshman year at UT, in which he played in 13 games. He totaled just four points, four assists and three assists in 45 total minutes played. While Massamba never earned a significant role, he did play sparingly late in the season, including in the Vols’ NCAA Tournament win against Miami (Ohio).

However, injuries also reared their ugly head in Massamba’s freshman season. He dealt with a hip flexor for a solid portion of SEC play. Tennessee head coach Rick Barnes frequently spoke positively about Massamba’s work ethic and mentality as a result.

4 star athlete out of high school and still young. Not saying that good players can't come from small programs, but the fact that he's coming from a program like Tennessee is pretty cool.

I was thinking the same thing. I'm hoping that with our step up to the MW and perhaps some additional funding, we'll see more transfers from major programs.

Yeah I took a look at MW school transfers the last few years and its obvious how many more major program players transfer to MW schools than Big West.
