I don't think we can read too much into Hawks depth chart.

Spartans had 1 of their top QBs, a *** recruit, pushed off the team for unknown reasons.

Alright lets get some predictions going for today... and why not go bold:

- Maier throws for 300+ yards
- Doss goes over 150 yards
- Thomas rushes for close to (but not quite) 100 yards
- Defense forces at least 1 turnover
- Aggies win

[ I think the Spartans will be a challenge for us but they don’t give the impression of having their act together. Question is, are we a legit FCS playoff contender? If we are we should beat a bottom dwelling FBS team. My expectation is that San Jose is moderately improved from last year but that’s based on new recruits,new coordinators. Are they ready to go game 1? If we are ever likely to beat an FBS team, isn’t this the time?
But I thought we would beat Sac last year, so what do I know

Prediction:
Maier throws for 300+yards with a big gain by a receiver not named Doss
Aggies rush for 150+ yards using several backs
We score 30+ points,
We get a turnover or two maybe a fourth down stop
We eek out a win

first play, double move by Doss, Maier goes deep to the other side to hit Montgomery running all alone for a TD. Defense rises up and we win.

Agreed 100%. We should be settled in, and have a top 5% QB and #1 WR. Slew of receivers. I still think we will miss Aaron Moore, what a playmaker. Rushing game by committee.
